Love the chips, great looking set.Got mine yesterday. Way nicer in person than I was expecting. Very pleasant surprise. For the price, these are great chips.
Had the @ABC Gifts and Awards do the labels, and they nailed them. They printed and put the labels on in a super fast turn around. Not only is the print job great, but I love the feel/laminate they use. It even looked like they took the time to line the labels all up the same with the edge spots (or one helluva coincidence)
If you're on the fence on labels, ABC does a GREAT job with them. Would totally recommend them as another great label option. Thanks again to Gene and the crew there for making this bargain happen and supporting the madness.
Unfortunately, the pics don't quite to them justice and you can't really get a sense of the laminate (nor have I had time to oil them yet).
Good on you mate , look great.
I need someone to sell me back 150 greens - please PM if you overbought and I'll make you a deal.
Grey and Blue are both sold out now. Some of you with PMs asking for greys and blues will get them. Some may not. I will message when I know for sure which orders can be filled.
For those of you who haven't received responses, you're not alone. I'm getting to messages when I can. As many of you know, this may be at any time of day or night, but doesn't mean I'm sitting around with nothing to do or that I'm on here 24 hours a day. When you get artwork from me after midnight, it's because I'm still working after midnight. When you get replies at 7 in the morning on Sunday, it's because I'm working at 7am Sunday morning. When you get responses from me all through the Thanksgiving holiday when I'm out of town with family, it's because I saw that there was something urgent that needed response.
I had my my and son help me label mine years ago. Was a huge help and they were happy to do itNo worries--my wife will do it for me. On a related note, anyone have some good advice on how to get your wife to do tedious tasks for you?
My fear of employing the help of either my wife or son is that I'd end up with labels covering edgespots and I'd have to redo the whole thing by myself anyway.I had my my and son help me label mine years ago. Was a huge help and they were happy to do it
Did oiling them change the feel/stacking/shuffling?
I would wash the whole lot in some warm soapy water, dry and then if you feel they need it, put on a really light coat of mineral oil on the outside. Just take a sock or cloth, put a line of oil on it and rotate the barrel on the cloth until you get a light even coat. I don’t think you need to oil the faces of the chip.I know that there are better threads and what not, but I’ve seen so many different ideas of what to do (and not to). Can someone point me in the right direction/post for how to clean up these chips? (No products on hand, haven’t cleaned chips before)
Any specific mineral oil or just whatever I find?I would wash the whole lot in some warm soapy water, dry and then if you feel they need it, put on a really light coat of mineral oil on the outside. Walgreens has a good cheap oneAny specific mineral oil or just whatever I find?
I think we found all of the blue chips
So far I found 1 tiny chip from a brown chip, and I was not gentle with them. 0 broken chips from shipping either.Any damage from them smashing into each other with this method?
All they need is a good wipe down with a damp cloth to remove the manufacturer dust. Then let them air out for a few days to lose some of the odor if it bothers you.
Oiling China Clay's is a waste of time IMO, the material isn't porous enough to soak the oil in. Yeah they will look shiny for a little while but will lose that sheen after time and you'll be doing it again if you want to maintain that look. In the meantime they'll be slimey with excess oil. But others swear by the process so ymmv.
(I am in the minority on the don't oil CC's opinion around here btw)

I'm amazed at how unbreakable these chips seem. I've dropped a bunch of them from table height, with not so much of a chip. I even tried to break one of the faded pinks with my hands. Took about two minutes of wrenching it with everything I could muster before I got it to chip.So far I found 1 tiny chip from a brown chip, and I was not gentle with them. 0 broken chips from shipping either.
It's a start
