Looking at the redneck database and appears the 3 different Modianos on the list, all are with "CEL" for the material (cellulose). "Modiano (All Exc. "Platinum" & "Elements")", "Modiano Platinum / Tactic Pro Poker" and "Modiano Elements / Guild". All with "CEL".

Thought great! Will just find a design I like and give some a whirl. Love how my KEMs feel (cellulose) but I really like the designs on the Modiano vs the very traditional KEM. Seems like any Modiano will be cellulose?

However, on Modianos website, at least the page for their casino decks, they specifically mention they do cardboard, PVC, and cellulose.

Hoping the experts here can clarify a bit on this for me. Perhaps all standard, retail-available decks are cellulose but if casinos would like custom decks Modiano can make them from cardboard or PVC?

Yeah did a little digging and it seems there are indeed Modiano that are cardboard. Not sure why the redneck card list shows all CEL. Maybe I'm understanding it incorrectly.

For example Romino 98 seem to be cardboard. Golden Trophy are PVC (among some others). Platinum are acetate.

In fairness to the redneck card list, it's not been updated in a while and has not been edited to correct errors. It still stands as a great starting point but its not perfect.

That being said, I believe it is accurate to say that only the Platinums are Cellulose Acetate and the rest of the plastic Modianos are PVC.

I also believe that they are still being produced and are available on a couple of vendors. As you can see on their website they are still featured there in newer packaging
