Yes, This is about an actual mold, ( & not the E&C) ...

After always seeing the pictures of older mold Burt Co / ASM chips, molds that seem to have "disappeared" with little or no information over the years, I decided to do some research in my spare time over the past couple months, to find one of these molds that may be tucked away in some basement or attic .....
** I finally received an email yesterday that confirms that I actually found one of these molds, in good condition!
A company, that over the years, moved / split ect, but still actually exists.
I tried/offered to buy the mold.. ( Hey, you never know if someone might take $99 for a mold that has been sitting for decades in a box in musty basement ! :) )
I received this reply "
Hi John,
Yes, we still own the { NAME REMOVED } mold but are not looking to sell it at this time.
Thanks for reaching out to us.

I believe there is a good chance this company may not even realize CPC can still make chips with this mold, & I believe there's a good chance they may make it available if they knew..
If @David Spragg would like the details , David please PM me ...

*** For the rest of you, this is now a Contest to guess the mold I re-discovered, by posting a picture of an old chip that was made by Burt Co / ASM on an "obsolete mold" ..
First non-edited post, by a member with at least 150 posts, with the correct chip mold will get a minimum of 3 sample chips (
nothing to do with this mold) sent to them by me, anywhere in the world at no charge, provided at least 5 members or more post a mold chip picture.....

ADD: I will announce who or if any poster guess correctly on Thursday Feb 9

I'm not sure if this was used by Burt Co. but Michael Dambaugh told me that this mold still exists. He said that he was going to make some commerative chips on it shortly before the meltdown.

I have added at the bottom of the OP, that I will close the contest on Thursday Feb 9 ( tomorrow) , at a time that feels excellent to me :)

Some of the molds posted in this thread are already in the CPC vault. Just sayin'.....

It's a possibility my legwork was for naught, if in fact the mold I refer to is owned by someone else, but already stored in CPC's secret vault .....

All this talk of classic mold possibilities (Super Gem, Arodie, Horseshoe, etc...) is just making me think how easy it would be to empty the bank accounts if they ever were offered. :sneaky:

The scary part is that I jumped into the thread thinking that the only mold that would drive me gleefully toward bankruptcy would be the small greek key mold, but with each new post I'm only realizing how many I would drain my roll for.

If they worked out how to offer arodie or horseshoe think of the backlog for the designers around here. C'mon @David Spragg, you will be hailed as a job creator! ;)

Didn't ASM (can't remember if it was Portland or Vegas) explore re-viving the Arodie mold a few years back? I have a few samples from that trial run.

Yeah, I don't recall if it was the problem that kept it from production, but the samples were much thicker than average. I still have my samples around here somewhere.

Yeah I remember MD playing around with the Arodie & Speed Dice. I have some samples of the Speed Dice that he did, they are super thicker than normal. I was doing the pee dance just thinking about an Arodie set at the time. Then the ASM dumpster fire began. :(
