Today is the day I will reveal the mold , and the details about the company that still owns it.
Info tidbit #1 - It is NOT the hub mold.
Info tidbit # 2 - The correct mold has been posted in this thread, so we have a winner. ..
Stay tuned![]()
My god, if it's the horseshoe mold...If they worked out how to offer arodie or horseshoe think of the backlog for the designers around here. C'mon @David Spragg, you will be hailed as a job creator!![]()
It is. NOT the horseshoe mold.

I have a fairly high confidence level it is the floral mold. I know a little bit about it because I owned a bunch of floral chips which I recently sold. George and Co. sold these chips, and they moved from Buffalo NY to Florida a while back. He did talk about a company move in the original post so that helped my confidence level, plus they are still in business in Florida I believe. They are pretty cool chips and it is a nice mold, but the chips I owned were just ok in my book. I have not yet regretted letting them go.
My main dislike was because of the weight. I did have two racks with brass flakes, but even those just felt "plasticky" to me and lighter than the many other ASM and CPC chips I have handled. I will admit the floral chain in the mold looks pretty damn cool.My call as well. One of the few old companies still in business. Is the dislike because of the weight? I think a lot of the floral chips out there were made before they started adding lead or brass flakes to give them more weight. Alot of the older small keys were like that as well.
The arodie mold still exists (i received a few mold samples from ASM a few years back), but i thought the mold was so worn, it could not be used reliably.
Back in the day poker night used to always include a game called Mexico where 123 on the die made you push a chip left center or right and 456 you kept your chips. Last guy with a chip won the pot. This was 25 years ago so I doubt they invented LCR, but hey who knows. Thanks for the fun contest and I guess I had an unfair advantage due to my affinity for uncommon and inexpensive chips. PM on the way.
That is a product of the mentioned mold owner ..you can buy this game with custom labeled dice and cheap plastic chips. We play this sometimes on poker night to run off the chips that don't cash to the even dollar in out .05/.10 game.

Someone would have to explain the excitement surrounding the Arodie mold. Is it tactile (I have no samples)? Is it an old classic from Vegas casinos? To me it looks horrendous, but to each their own.
I assume you mean ASM/Maine correct? Because if it was Vegas, they might still be viable (though ownership would still be an issue).Arodie has a classic look and was a well known early Vegas mold. ASM tried to do a run of these but something was broken with the mold and some of the arodies didn't come out properly.
There was a card room regular in the Seattle area that owns a CNC shop. He makes parts for Boeing and other companies. He used to make some pretty cool custom card caps for other players. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that he made the ones for Redbelly's final home game.
It seems like it wouldn't be much more work to make some custom molds. But then again, I'm fairly ignorant about such things. Could be a fun project though if the PCF community banded together to come up with a new mold that could be used by CPC.
* I've always been a little hazy on if some molds are actually just "cups" that fit into an existing plate CPC may already have, while other molds have apparently no "cups" and are part of the plate itself ?
* Also, is the floral mold one of the ASM stored molds for the owner?
@BGinGA ?

I think a chip "mold" is more like a machined die. Just guessing, that's gonna be pretty expensive
