Lol I'm not exaggerating, there was a half-to-a-full inch of hardened wood glue fastening my cupholders. My buddy who helped me redo the table is a union stagehand who essentially does similar stuff for a living, and his exact words were "holy sh!t I've never seen anything like this." After the fact we tried using a hairdryer to get the glue off the cupholders to reuse, but legit 10 minutes barely put a dent.

The wood glue mine came with was nothing short of ossified. Only thing that actually took care of it eventually was soaking 'em in Naphta for a while

Mine wasn't wood glue - mine looked more like someone in assembly used a hot glue gun (overused it would be more accurate)

Also, what’s the best place to buy SSC and foam? Also also, when taking off foam, is it possible to do with your hands, or do you need another specific tool? Sorry for the dumb questions.

I guess it may be different depending on who was on shift when they make these things but my armrests weren't glued on at all, just screws. But the cup holders were glued in on one half with almost nothing and the other half with elephant glue. Since the cup holders stop you from lifting the arm rests off, this is likely where you have to pay attention.

Forget it I posted these yet but here’s some from my replacement. Only think I wish I’d done different is I wish I had gotten a @T_Chan custom felt replacement as opposed to SSC. Nothing wrong with SSC just not as cool as a custom felt and it obviously doesn’t have a betting line. Still looking into a good way to add a betting line though.

For the rails/armrests, see picture below.
After you've removed the screws from the bottom of the table, stick a screwdriver under the rail next to the cupholder. Take a hair dryer and aim it directly at the cupholder, maybe 1/2" above the cupholder. Hold there for about a minute. Then start to pry up the rail with the screwdriver. The softened glue will start to separate. You'll either be able to just pry it off, or take the screwdriver and 'cut' the glue.

Question for you guys - Based on all the recs I’m gonna give this a shot. Where did you start stapling the felt? Did you start at the end of the table that folds and put the clamps on? From there, did you pull the felt tight and staple at top. I’d hate to put it on and have the felt tight but twisted

@ReallyGoodUsername curious - why’d you change to that 3’ hinge? I mean it looks like it’ll hold up better than the one on the table itself. Did you notice a diff?

Tell a good friend you have a case of beer on hand and need an extra set of hands with this project. Clamps work but I found having a person helped more.

If I recall correctly, I started at the underside (aka center of table). Flipped it over to pull tight and stapled the border that the arm rests cover up.

Enlist a buddy like @tabletalker7 said, and you’ll be just fine.

@john1ecakes so i overlaid the felt on the table, with excess hanging off both sides. i then clamped all around (4 clamps), pulling tight from the middle out. i then clamped, even with the excess hanging over all sides, and started stapling around the outer ring, which is easy to find because you have the edge of the table, and the foam. once i had stapled all around, only then did i start cutting the felt excess off. cut after stapling, not before, because you can always pull it tighter, which is harder if you have already cut to size...

i then stapled the underside of the table last (along the hinges) and then the back side of the middle strut)

i dunno if that makes sense, but i hope it does - i had 4 clamps which i think made it easy for me, although i did a second table at my buddies house, and having 2 people makes it exponentially easier than solo...

this is how you have to do it if you want to line the patterns up in the middle.

So I took the plunge and refelted my table. Thanks to the advice of @jcooper911 i labeled everything! LOL I marked spots where the cup holders go as I cut out the cloth to prep for bigger cup holders at a later date. Took all the advice about how to do it and it turned out great. Thanks again for helping this noob out. I almost wanna get another table just do this again...but I’m not dropping $200+ for this table. LOL

so sad my table has been out of use since march 11th after 30 games in the prior 18 months...

Thanks; it also helped that the color was also on sale.

I like the darker color so the chips and cards somewhat standout when they're on where the I can see some of the group losing a chip or two if I went with the traditional red or green felt. I'm excited to get some use out of this thing now!

Can somebody please tell me the dimensions for the playing surface? I think I would like this table, but the gap in the middle is killing me. Wondering if a poker mat can be placed on the table to cover it, similar to what Triton table does.

Table edge to edge is 84" x 42" with a 5" rail, so the viewable/playable felt area is 74" x 32" of course you also need to take into consideration the seam in the middle for design purposes.

The gap is negligible TBH. Cards slide right over it, even with the crap that was on they’re before.

Like someone previously said, I could’ve gotten away with a shorter length felt but I’d rather have way more than I need than being slightly short.
