As the title says. I've been shuffling a barrel quite a lot over the last 2 weeks. They have some gunk on them. Its pretty difficult to scratch it off even with a fingernail (gets caught in the mold). Looks like black glue/adhesive that sticks to the chips.

Will be good to know because Im sure at some point I will need to clean my main set. How do I get this crap off? TY.

Years ago I bought some Paulsons off eBay which were pretty dirty. I used warm soapy water and a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and it cleaned them up very nice. Give that a shot.

I'll try a magic eraser ty. But how would I clean 1000 CCs when the time comes?

This is actually something I've been thinking about. How will I clean my CPS chips when the time comes? They have that texture and attract tons of grime. I can't think of a good solution so I am definitely watching this thread. Ideas that I have shot down: stiff brush, soaking them, ultrasonic cleaner, etc.

So are we left with the terrible thought we might have to hand clean them one by one?

Ultrasonic cleaner should do the trick for a large amount of chips.

Yeah but not the CCs with labels.
Shouldn't be a problem, provided the labels are securely affixed. And water shouldn't affect them, anyway - not the vinyl label, plastic laminate, nor adhesive.

Better than an OxiClean solution soak, I'd guess -- less time required to be submersed in liquid.

Is this gunk skin cells? Kind of feels sticky.
