Not always. There are good members here who will do catch and release deals for no profit. I have given and gotten deals like this.
Has happened to me too. But they in my experience have been from people you’ve built relationships with and then you give “friend” pricing. But on the public market I don’t blame people for marking up because if they don’t the next guy will.

Has anyone received notices acknowledging their purchase? I bought late (~3:30 pm) so maybe am at the end of the line.
Yes PayPal confirmations went out pretty quickly since I believe that’s automated. Since I placed multiple orders, several hours later I got a PayPal email about refunding some of the cost due to combined shipping, and a separate email from jim@thechiproom.com with a tracking number.

TheChiproom newbie question, do they ship in Paulson boxes or are they loose? Just judging to see if I need to buy some Paulson boxes from Justin or not. Will the Tropicana ones fit in a regular Paulson box?
Yes they ship in Warneke boxes (plain white, not Paulson branded like the Tiger Palace chips), at least all the chip orders I’ve gotten from TCR, including Tropicana chips.

I have always gotten chips in Paulson boxes, but I’ve only ever bought Paulsons so not sure about Trops!

I take it the sale is over? I just tried to snag some DJs, but I got turned away at checkout.
I think almost all the DJs were sold out in the first 2 hours
Usually, the sale never ends.
But "prices are good while supply lasts."
If you can't buy something, it's usually because it's sold out.
If you want, try starting small with the chip you want... add just 1 to your cart. Click checkout. If you are presented the screen to pay, there's some left. Click "back" on your browser and increase the amount until you get what you need, or most likely, what you can.
Sometimes there's only something like 38 chips left of a particular denomination. It's trial and error to see what's left.
