Chips arrived! Thanks @TheChipRoom for helping me complete my first paulson set. Wasnt sure if I was gonna like the 5's but I think they're great so I'm gonna add on 80 more to complete that rack and 60 more 1's to bring the set to an even 500 chips. Is there maintenence that should be done to brand new paulsons? Cleaning or oiling? They're way harder to shuffle than I expected but I assume they just need to break in a little.

Really nice looking set and the frac is great there.

You are going to find people are pretty split on oiling minty Paulsons. With the 1As, I personally would not especially because they look like they are going to be your workhorse chip and be handled the most; they will likely break in nice naturally. Oiling does bring out some vibrant coloring, but I am not sure how that would go with predominately white mint chips. That is a long way of saying there does not seem to be a consensus answer so it is ultimately up to you.

I know it does not really help too much, since they are red, but here is a side by side oiled vs. not oiled example:

This is very helpful thanks! And yes they will be the workhorse chip. While 5's get in play once you get 7 or 8 of them you're probably one of the bigger attacks at the table. When people rebuy I just give them a barrel of 1's. As great as the 25's look I doubt they'll see the felt anytime soon.

Sorry. Posted too early.

These are seriously some of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately it only makes me a little bit more frustrated I missed out on the micro cash set with the snappers but oh my God

So tempted to sell off a couple-three cash sets and pick up one of these HSI WSOP sets. I'd have to learn/then teach poker group how to play tournament style. Almost worth it.

BTW, how did you nab those fine 25K and 100K chips? Multiple sample set pick-up? They are great.
Yeah did it with multiple sample set I wonder if Jim will ever do a large denom set one. This one... would love to be able to get another 2 sets. And the color ups... could run a 40 person tourney that way!! Not sure if I’d ever find that many people but who knows... maybe post an annual event on the meet up forms!

it’s a great set
