Actually Apache did ship 475 Dunes CCs to me loose in ziplock bags with newspaper padding- only lost about 15 chips which I took as a win considering how badly they were packed for their transatlantic journey

If this is how 100 tightly packed chip in a ziplock bag look like after delivered, a 500 tightly packed chips in a going to be a shit mess.

The other guy who manage to receive with no chip broken must be one lucky guy

This was dumb.
Oooooooffffff, does this go on my feedback?

Soon as someone says the packaging/events leading up to an incident are not at all responsible for the results of said incident, the convo is already pretty dumb. And I I don't get your humor either, padre.

No I’m not new here at all. And I have done a lot of business here. I’m really pissed about this. I did everything right. It’s not my fault the chips were broken. And what does it matter anyway. If you refund someone’s money. Shit happens. I was just curious because the lot that went two days earlier arrived pristine. Packaged the same way. The jerk who bought these chips made demands. Wasn’t even reasonable. Of course I asked a couple of questions. I had to file a claim with USPS. This is the first time I’ve ever had a broken chip. And then he takes this public to affect my reputation. I won’t have that. I would never dream of doing that to someone else
Perhaps if you had started out with something along the lines of, "Yes, I will refund your money, but let me check with USPS first to see what happened and file a claim." Instead, I received the verbiage that I quoted in my OP, followed by about 42 hours of no communication, followed by one final caustic PM before I made it public.

You did the right thing

Just calling them as I see them. But I think china clays suck, so I'm probably a biased gatekeeping elitist POS.

Your reputation is ruined!

Jesus Christ Are you Himewad? or Dickwad? It was 500 chips packed very tightly in a Ziploc bag and then wrapped in bubble wrap. They were so tightly packed they couldn’t move. Answer this question. Same lot of China clays went out two days earlier and arrived in pristine condition. The buyer even raved about them being chalky. Not one chip damaged. So wouldn’t you be surprised if the second idiot says all 500 chips were damaged? And he offers to keep the chips with the refund. Are you really that stupid?
I can't fathom how chips shipped in a similar manner arrived unscathed. But pretty much everyone in this thread can see how chips would end up damaged. Which is the OP's claim. I don't ship a lot of expensive chips. But I take greater care shipping two dealer buttons than you take shipping 500 chips.

Are YOU really that stupid?

Only if, due to your belief in them sucking, you believe it completely negates your responsibility as a seller/shipper and you refuse to take blame or remedy a situation due to your own negligence in shipping. Not sure why that line directed at the seller struck such a nerve for you that it required two posts; typically I'd assume that means the shoe fits but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
