Cards mold chip cashed in? (1 Viewer)

Before we all descend into madness, can anyone verify if this story is true and not just another twitter account trying to fake engagement with stories that seem plausible but isnt true?
Excellent point. I found this a bit hard to believe having watched cages count out chips many time before. Casino don’t seem to miss much….especially the big ones….and I have to assume Aria security is aware there are copies of their chip out there

Idk why but all these Aria card mold replicas remind me of this:

"These are genuine faux Aria casino chips. Official casino weight, ~9 grams. Faux is a French word, it’s got an “X” in it but you don’t even pronounce the “X”. How do ya like that for prestigious?"

If this is the chip in question then it's not even close. Anyone have a pic of an Aria 500? @DirtyTIVA? (Not to be confused with an Aria's)

I texted me buddy that works there

@TricycleClub tried to set you up a table but it only comes from a host / convention or $50-$100 min blinds

My samples say tournament and no cash value which is defensible as a tribute. Was there another round where they got closer to the casino version? The colors/spot patterns/general inlay feel is close enough no need to veer on the edge of counterfeit territory.
I haven't followed (or searched) all of the various card mold orders and designs, but the chip pictured on Twitter (and in the OP) is not the 'tournament no cash value' version that you have -- it has a currency symbol.

similarities:
-- general chip/inlay layout
-- text and denomination font
-- black background
-- "A" watermark
-- 3TSA18 spots

differences:
‐- extra 'S after ARIA name
-- 'FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS' text is curved single line (vs two linear lines)
-- missing "LAS VEGAS, NEVADA" text
-- cards mold vs ARIA housemold
-- molded ceramic vs molded clay

Without both chips actually in-hand, it's not clear how similar the base and spot colors may be. Tying to judge from pictures/scans is pointless.

Confirmed it happened. All the shifts have a meeting/training talk. What you would expect.
im still skeptical that it was actually cashed in and not that someone tried to cash it in. Why would you advertise that your cashiers are retarded? Doesnt that invite more of the behaviour?

Doesn't look like they were the ones advertising, looks like a leak, right? Makes more sense. Doubt upper management is discussing business with "Vital Vegas", but you gotta warn your employees to keep their heads up.

Probably not that dramatic. And not a whole lot different than when some moron degenerate cashed an ACB $500 at the Borgata.

If Aria catches wind of the PCF connection, their lawyers will reach out to anyone they can connect with the chip (members, admins, manufacturer) with C&D letters and demands to have all of the chips destroyed.
Good luck with that in China. (dusts dirt off his fake nikes, adjusts time on his fake rolex)

Looks fairly close to me color wise. I will be there in two weeks. If someone has a $500 Tina chip they can send me I will take a side by side.

If someone has a Tina chip and are willing to lend to me please PM me. I will pay for shipping both waysView attachment 1192296
I wouldn’t bring a Tina $500 anywhere near the Aria casino.
