Cheating allegations at Stones (2 Viewers)

Wow - This thing just keeps on going...

Doug Polk is asking people who have played in Stones games to contact him about suspicious play. He is concerned that the cheating goes beyond just Mike Postle. And that if the cheating was truly being organized by Justin, or some one else on the "inside," then other players may have been "hired" to run the scam as well.

F*ck.

Posted up on Twitter.

He's openly requesting Stones players to contact him about their experiences. I guess he doesn't trust the "independent" investigation Stones is running.

I’m up about $2500 over 5 or so stream games, only one of which was with Postle, so probably not supremely helpful haha

Disappointed we're only at page 6 while 2+2 is over 140 pages or something.......... ;)

I had to check out of the 2+2 thread ... they're over there talking about his keychain reading IDs on edges of cards, and all kinds of other gadget-based cheating nonsense. They've gone well beyond reality and have are now far down the tinfoil hat wormhole. It's pretty weird.

Aha! I knew live poker was rigged!  :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

Bart Hanson discussed this on his podcast from earlier this week. I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet and don't know whether he has anything useful to add.

The car key thing is real. Was mentioned someone in this thread and on the live streams I believe.

Yes. Key chain readers are real, but they don't hold much value beyond reading the cards directly in front or you, or those of the players next to you.

All of the YouTube demos show the device being placed VERY close to the cards being read. Even the "long range" versions all demonstrate the reader working on cards within a 12" - 18" radius of the reader...

It seems like reading cards on the other side of an 8' poker table would be literally impossible... and since Postle was doing exactly that, the keychain theory doesn't seem very plausible. Furthermore, his keychain was usually on the rail, which would not allow for proper reading of cards (it needs to be on the same surface/plane).

I'm not sure why those 2+2 guys keep talking about it.

My thought is that if he can position it/is close enough to the dealer, he could know the holding of all other players. Doesn't explain if/how he knows what cards are coming on the board.

Seemed to me that it was because he had a similar key fob to one of those devices, frequently seated himself near to where the dealer would have the deck sitting, and during those sessions always had his keys on the table positioned just so. I believe the thought is that he could get a heads up on the board pre-flop. But to my mind, that has sounded like a bit of a stretch. Getting info from the stream, through a hacked feed or someone giving him access, seems by far the most likely.

He can Jam with bottom pair or A high but just calls with trip Jacks. Like Veronica says it doesnt make sense.
Yeah, in isolation any given hand can be explained away as opponent-specific reads (if he were actually watching players) but over hundreds of hands to never make the wrong decision is approaching 0% possibility

Why not just remove electronic devices from the table. You can’t be on your phone when you’re involved with an in progress hand. Especially when a game is being streamed. Even though there is a delay, Id still be extra cautious.

This needs to be the end of that poker room - one way or another it needs to be the end of that place. Hopefully ESPN did a good enough job exposing this to stop people from walking in the door there

My guess, and this is just conjecture, is that no one employed by the poker room is in on it.

If Postle was cheating, I can’t imagine what he was thinking while doing it. Seems like it would be easy to hide obscene lines. I guess it’s easy to get greedy and assume you won’t get caught. Do you think you’re just as low stakes and it won’t blow up? You have to wonder how many bricks he’s shitting now; or who knows, maybe he still thinks this will blow over.

If you watch any of Joey's videos and still have doubts you may want to stop drinking the coolaid. Mikes a disgusting prick who needs to be locked up.

Whellp, the brain trust that is Mike Postle decided to do an interview with Mike Matusow today. Going on the record about cheating allegations sounds like a GREAT idea! It's obvious this guy doesn't have an attorney yet.

The interview will be posted at 8pm Pacific on Mike's podcast page.

At 8:15 Pacific, Joey Ingram will do a livestream discussion of the interview on his YouTube channel:
