What does everyone do with the bump on the side? Do you sand it off? Does it add character? Is it too small to really affect anything? Is it actually the best place for the mold injection to end?
No sanding or shaving, it will remove the material that has been impregnated with ink and leave an even more noticeable white mark in it's place.

The time to fully remove the injection nubs (and leave a smooth surface remaining) is after the ceramic chip blanks have been injection-molded but before they are dye-sub printed.

Some companies have processes that handle this step better -- or more consistently -- than others. Those that use non-automated methods tend to have more inconsistency issues (but also lower priced products).

Pick your poison.

Love it! Yeah that was basically the purpose of the question, I already bought chips — so it wasn’t a dealbreaker they had them. Was basically just checking if there was a way to “elevate” them further like how we sometimes oil chips (not these, though!)

Made it home from my trip and had a box waiting here for me. Got a 43mm microstakes cash set in case I ever get a game going with buddies from work. Thanks, Justin!
