It looks more like the edges aren’t aligned perfectly, which is fairly common. One way is to make the art have wavy edgespots like a compressed clay chip instead of straight spots.Post in thread 'The Official Mail Showcase Thread (poker related)'

Of particular note is the $1 chip, the side view shows some pretty significant bleed between the white and blue
Yeah, the desert palms set is designed accurately, that's just manufacturing error/variation as each chip is manually aligned before printing. I personally ordered a few extras in my last runs just to use to replace out the worst-aligned ones that come in.I would agree if artwork for edge spots is not accurate it will look like that. Do the other chip denominations edge spots line up. May be most noticeable on the whites. Any pics of other denominations?
All of them have alignment issues, it’s more about the color bleed that is there. I’ll see if I can get better pictures. Didn’t even notice till now that all the tournament chips (43mm) used the modified label I had made, except for the 25k…ahh well, that won’t get mixed up in a cash set, lolAll of them have alignment issues, it’s more about the color bleed that is there. I was thinking the same thing, what to do with it.What does everyone do with the bump on the side? Do you sand it off? Does it add character? Is it too small to really affect anything? Is it actually the best place for the mold injection to end?
I had a few chips that had a large bump on the Greek 43mm chips and I shaved it flat with a utility knife blade. Unfortunately, the ink doesn’t penetrate very far, so it ended up leaving a white spot in its place. What does everyone do with the bump on the side? Do you sand it off? Does it add character? Bro! What are we doing comparing women to poker chips lolSo let’s do this. You meet a beautiful girl but she has a very small birthmark. Do you date her anyway. My answer is heck yeah!
