Jim's sales are epic. No secret club. Open to all.

As noted already, take a look at the Jacks sale thread for some vague details. Jim's M.O... Essentially, a casino goes under, rebrands, sells their chips, etc... Rather than getting destroyed (common), Jim seeks out opportunities to rescue these chips and sell them to the chipping community (at a well deserved profit to him), usually under market value due to crazy volume. Jim is the pro at this, and his efforts have created amazing opportunities to get good chips at reasonable prices (for those who appreciate them). Jim is our hero (the analogy would be a "dealer to a crack addict"...).

These sales have historically broken the internet (with stories of web servers crashing and slow computers).. There also has been those who take advantage of Jim's hard work to make a profit of their own... Flippers circle around these sales to buy up hordes of chips with the intent to immediately flip them to other chippers for big profits. When someone buys tons of the chips, it denies joe-schmoe the opportunity from ordering a set they intended to cherish and put to use... Jim has done a good job limiting the numbers to discourage flippers buying massive hordes for profit (nasty flippers, we hates them we do....).

Why even say this at the end ?

crossing my fingers that I actually play powerball and/or mega millions ... and hit it. The first part is probably more unlikely than the last.. but that could change.

:)

Its funny how we have become so nit picky these days with molds for THC RHC .... we use to be grateful they were just Paulsons period. Times sure have changed.

I kinda feel nostalgic today, my apologies in advance if this appears harsher than it is intended.

Gotta blame massive amounts of mint Aztars, PCAs, and Casablancas for that one (with an assist from the Empress Casino chips). The introduction of those four sets into the chipping community changed everything, setting a new high bar standard.

Lets just call it what it is , I lost $2500 last night with 3 yes count them 3 sets not holding and I’m a tad salty today. Taking it out on hats and canes The 3rd one was a wonderful flopped boat to a rivered bigger boat for added disgust.

Where are the Bud Jones?
Ohhhhh snap, I dont know how I would feel about BJ in this sale,
On the one hand, awesome for more plastics getting out there.

On the other hand, I have no money to buy said plastics :-(

Over under on the price/chip of the Detroit quarters?
My guess is they are sold as part of a cash set and then resold by the inevitable flipping.

$4.50 is the line
Over/under

Has anyone handled the RHCs from this casino? I’m just curious how heavy they feel. Having played with RHCs at multiple casinos, I sometimes feel they can be slightly lighter or heavier depending on what the venue ordered. But I haven't taken them out of the casino and weighed barrels to prove it.

These were never in circulation so only @TheChipRoom has handleded them.
