Duh, I was wondering because of the snapper.

See the denomination label style on the old Horseshoes and on the new Jack Cinci/Cleveland chips (which obviously had the same designer).
Just a plain "2.50".

When I designed the inlays for my Paradise LA tribute set to the Horseshoes/Jacks, I was thinking "I can make this look better" and used the Aurora Star denomination label style, i.e. with the superscript "50" and the line below. And now look what has happened on the Jack Detroit inlays...

But apparently that was just two people with the same idea independently.
