Received mine today. 2 days earlier then stated on the shipping. Unboxing and other pics to come. woot woot.
They're on the website now, $0.34 eachWithout re-reading 30 pages of this thread, does anyone recall what the price of these are NOW?
I was wanting to pull the trigger before, but had to wait for another set to sell first... Of course, a buyer for my other set suddenly emerged, which as freed up some funds.
Of course this is a great time to bother Josh, since he's probably busy getting everyone their chips.
Does anyone else have issues with the inconsistent diameter size of the hundreds they received or did I just get lucky?
Sorry I would have a problem with that even at this price point. I would cringe everytime I looked at a rack like what was posted. I don't expect perfection but very noticeable varying widths is extreme.
I received my chips earlier this week and was finally able to take a good look at them today. My first impression was very positive. I like the colors, design, the simplicity yet elegance of the labels and the consistency of thickness (they all fit nicely in Chipco racks).
Having taken a second look at them today, I noticed that the hundreds have inconsistent diameter sizes. I purchased 400 of the hundreds and their diameters vary greatly. I also purchased 300 twenty-fives, 150 five hundreds, 100 thousand and 50 five thousand chips. Other than one of the thousand chips, all of their diameters are very consistent.
I have attached several pictures which show the size inconsistencies. Does anyone else have issues with the inconsistent diameter size of the hundreds they received or did I just get lucky?
The design and colors of the Majestics would have made them the best of the China Clays I have but the diameter issue pulls them back into just being an average chip.

If true this is a pretty extreme flaw to have this ho-hum-deal-with-it attitude about... I just can't see you posting this if the CPS chips you put so much time and effort in to came in with this issue.Cheap chips are, well, cheap. You get what you pay for. Want chip perfection? Fine, but don't expect it in a three-for-a-dollar deal.
Are there 2 sizes...or multiple different sizes in those hundos? I'm pretty sure mine are ok.
Just wondering if it's 2 different batches and 2 sizes or multiple sizes in one batch....

Most likely two (or maybe more) different outer ring molds. That's where dimensional differences (and lack of adequate QC to catch it) were probably made.
Ancient Chinese Secret.Any ideas how China clays are made?
Next question: has anyone sent Josh a message so he can inform his army of chip makers in China? That's where I was going with it...Josh will need to have the factory find the issue for future orders.

Cool, thank you. I eagerly await the outcome of this as I am sure many of us are. (I also have 500 chips invested, although not nearly as much as some).I'm going to send Josh an email with pictures.
