Lol, for me it’s definitely the bolded. A hail Mary attempt to see if I can free up money to get a cooler CPC set. I know it’s unlikely someone would be interested but if I have to give them away for way cheap, it’s just not attractive. They play poker just fine

Honestly, it’s not just your CPC ad. I would guess it’s 90% of them. And at least in my opinion, your set is far nicer than the average CPC set.

Actually, not to double down because it was just a half baked idea, but the watch analogy can be taken further, with people on the higher-end sneering at people on the lower end, who think those with Tigers have more money than sense.

If I see a CPC set for sale, I try to see past the theme and first look at the mold. If it is not A or B mold, I proceed at looking at the colors/spots. Then price.

But I mean, people have been assigning tiers within hobbies for ages. And tier lists are often controversial, especially with this medium since there’s so much subjectivity, but I’d wager I can’t be tooo far off?

Not to mention sellers of custom CPCs calculate those ‘savings’ on the cost to make a new set today, rather than what they paid. I get it, replacement cost, but it feels disingenuous.

It’s also completely irrelevant to the buyer of those chips. Who cares what it would cost to make those exact chips again today, if someone were to order chips from CPC today they would not order YOUR custom chips.

Nothing, but you’re the one who keeps poking at my listings.

What it does have to with is character and integrity in this place, or lack thereof in your case. I know your fanbase just thinks you’re a funny goof - and maybe you really are a great dude that mostly means well - I don’t know you. But if it was up to me you wouldn’t be let near the classifieds again, unless you came with a big fat warning sign.

Former - durability, color, edge spots, brand, oh, and it’s a REAL casino chip.

Latter - price is dumb as bricks, but I can understand the appeal.
