I’d venture a guess the majority of them are produced by the same 5-10 folks and simply posted site wide throughout threads on repeat.

The dildo portion at least. Maybe the recent rise in homosexual and fellatio memes/gifs is simply the next step.

I’m interested in whatever comes next. Ftr, matthewbs was pretty great and not one I had seen before.

The Putin ban wasn’t because it was posted once. The Putin ban was because he posted it 69 more times after being told to stop.

I mean I’m pretty sure it’s against the rules (listed or unspoken idk) to discuss moderation. Or maybe that’s to ask mods to discuss moderation? Idk, something we’re doing currently is against rules somewhere but I don’t think it’s ever actually implemented.

Annnnnyways, it seems like it’s mostly socially engineered. If something gets reported, it potentially gets modded/banned, if something gets reported nonstop it definitely gets modded, and if it’s never reported chances are mods won’t see it at all.

I’ve never reported a single post ever - some memes/gifs are funny, some annoying. But if we’re not punishing people for threatening violence, doxxing, and threatening to attack people’s livelihoods/companies, then I’m guessing we’re not punishing people for dildos/stick figures raping eachother.

Once upon a time, this annoyed the wrong people. Old heads were pissy and started reporting anything that wasn’t on topic, especially memes/gifs.

I believe that a not so small group were warned against it - Brie, kifer, myself, and others were being too sociable in various threads in ways that weren’t on topic. This was strictly enforced for a hot minute.

Everyone slowly stopped posting as much, most of the old heads have moved on and don’t participate much anymore, and we’ve had lots of new members join. The general concensus now seems to have changed, and posting tomfoolery in every thread is celebrated. Get with the times. (Edit to say /s)

The new Flamingo stamps are cool too but they're much harder to get since the poker room closed unfortunately. I was thinking about that. I wonder how controversial this will be on the scale. I don’t hate them and plan on picking up 2 racks in a week for my paris set as alt $1s.

Would’ve been a great surprise if they were thc with the same stamp….

Edit: unpopular/subjective/selfish opinion - Paris $2s make one of the best limit $2 sets out there.

I’m betting it gets worse quickly. Frankly I’m surprised the Paris bounced back with Paulsons at all, after chippers stole their new $1 chips by the thousands last year. But yes, it will be all Icon very soon.

They lost the cost of the chip. The exchange was $1 for $1 on the books. They are +$1. The chips are a casino expense.

This might have made sense 20 years ago. But in 2024, it’s pretty well accepted that Paulson chips cost a casino more than a buck apiece.

RHC hot stamped chips are likely the cheapest GPI chip, no? I thought the plastic chips cost a fair bit more.

It seems like a lot of Canadian casinos are phasing out low denom plastic chips for RHC inlay ($1) and hotstamps (fracs).

I thought clay would be a bigger pain for GPI but seem to still be a big menu item (and based on points made here, with limited spots).

I took a year off from PCF. When I came back, I noticed threads being derailed by morons posting gif and meme after gif and meme, liking each other up all the way. I didn’t care for it then or now (but I don’t think Ive ever reported that kind of useless idiocy.)
