Controversial Chip & Poker Opinions (9 Viewers)

Okay, so I’ve said this before so bear with me…

It irks me slightly when people say that plastic chips (Matsui, BJ, Icon, etc) “stack like bricks.” Edit: if the person saying this meant slippery plastic bricks, fair enough, carry on ;)

Anyone who says this^^ has probably never handled actual, real life bricks or had to stack any. To be fair I also haven’t seen it said for a while either.

Controversial? I dunno, at least it always gave me a good reason to laugh bwahahahahaha!

My bud Jones chips stack like bricks.....

I've glued them to Bricks. Try me! You can build a wall! A great wall! And we will make Bud Jones pay for it!

If you're going to have 2000 chips on the table, why not make some interesting different inlays of the same denom?
This is a great idea! @DaSinical1 did this for his Zialcita Card Room chips and they look amazing. "I decided to add limited edition inlays seeded at 10% for the quarters, 1s and 5s."

Full set: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/zcr-zialcita-card-room-finally-done-almost.40997/

Standard chips on top, limited edition chips on bottom: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/media/zcr-limited-edition-chips.15579/

I want to do this myself with one of my custom sets.

Plastic Plaques stack like bricks...because well.....

- First of coin inlay is terrible
- Hot stamps are only good for milling
- Tribute sets are like buying a aftermarket product to be a fan boy
- Most none chippers will prefer Ceramic over Poulson chips
- CPC should invest in more Colors and have fewer molds
- We are the maniacs in the poker world and our view of chips is not the right one
