Damn this came out of the blue to me. I hadn't seen a mockup or anything related to this set until just now. Seriously one of my fav recent designs. It's very cohesive between colors and inlay and I think the theme is great. It really makes me feel like playing a game on a fold up card table in the back of some sweaty gym with guys named Tony and Uncle Lou. Great work.
I'm supposed to be boxing up chips and buttons for shipping, but i keep getting drawn back to this thread and the omg photos.

I saw the (mis)spelling, more like a slang, on a TV show and it was exactly how the gym I used to train spelled it... I wanted to relate back to time of my life, and I thought it was kinda cool... Also, there a couple of Fight Clubs custom set from members here, which are fantastic (@Meddler2 's for example), and I wanted to be a little different...

In 1996 when the Summer Olympics were in Atlanta one of my good friends and I scored tickets to the beach volleyball. They were cool tickets because they were good for the whole event which means you were there all day. The women's final ended up being Brazil vs USA so we watched both teams play all day. When we got to the finals he was vocally rooting for Brazil over the U.S. because, in his words, "They are too GD hot to root against."
Holy macaroni! These are AMAZING! I truly love everything about this set from the story behind them to the font on the denomination. Great color choices, love the colored inlays...it gives the chips a "varsity" feel to them and I don't recall seeing anything like these before. Hard to pick a favorite but if I had to it would be the $1.
Looking forward to seeing these in the 2017 calendar. Congrats on a soon to be classic set.
