CORDEIROS FITE CLUB - CALI COLORS CASH SET (CPC DIASQR ) (1 Viewer)

In 1996 when the Summer Olympics were in Atlanta one of my good friends and I scored tickets to the beach volleyball. They were cool tickets because they were good for the whole event which means you were there all day. The women's final ended up being Brazil vs USA so we watched both teams play all day. When we got to the finals he was vocally rooting for Brazil over the U.S. because, in his words, "They are too GD hot to root against."

Hard to argue with that logic.

More chips on the way! :D:D:D:D:D:D It's been a long time coming... New plans for TG weekend now... More Pr0n once I finish oiling those...

Now, @BGinGA , I just need 4 racks of PCA Sec $5s and I'll be happy for a while, like for a week... ;)

Finally got the chips I was waiting for!!! Well, at least partially... I thought both Cash and Tourney sets would arrive at the same time but I only received the Tourney set... Not complaining at all, LOL!!! So excited!!! Nothing to do with the Fite Club, completely different theme...

I won't make any comments until both sets are in and oiled and the Pr0n thread is posted :x:x:x:x:x...

But of course I had to start the 'dressing up' process right away... Only one picture as a teaser... T25 edge oiling:

OK I'll be the guy to ask: what exactly is that oiling contraption in the photo and what does it do? :)

just clamps to hold the chips in place to make oiling the edges a little easier I'm guessing. If your talking about the contraption earlier in the thread its what he uses to oil the face of the chips.

Huh. I never felt the need to find shortcuts for edge-oiling (I did 500 chips the other night in about 15 minutes, without anything except oil and 2 hand towels) but if you have devised a way to oil faces efficiently and without getting oil on the inlay I am VERY interested (not seeing it earlier in the thread, but it could be a pic that's not loading quickly on my crappy connection?)

I used to just hold the barrel between my fingers and use a cloth to oil the edges... The chips would slide a bit and more oil would go to the faces... I find using the clamps is much quicker and more efficient... For the face, I use that little contraption which get even less oil on the inlay area... I cut a hole in the center so the foam only covers the edges...

How do you oil the edges?

^^Pretty much this - but lay the cloth with oil across your poker table rail (it won't hurt a vinyl rail - anything that leaks through wipes right off) and roll the barrel on the cloth - then if they slide a little the oil doesn't get all over the faces. Then roll on the other cloth next to it (without oil) to wipe off the excess. Set out to dry overnight. Takes like 30 seconds per barrel.

Super excited!! Got the shipping notice for the cash set as well!!! Thankfully, I'm done oiling the Tourney set so both sets should be dressed up and photographed by next weekend...

Make sure you have your ID ready. When the UPS guy delivers and sees just how giddy you are, he may have a tough time believing you are actually 21.

Omg, awesome... How did we not hear about this set in advance? I'm so envious of you people who have the ability and fortitude to pull the trigger without endless posts on design and colors, etc...

For the record, I will absolutely be one of those ninnies who posts endless design threads when I get the scratch to pay for a CPC setup. :)

You could always bring these to show off at the MTTD ;)

And not sure if it's been discussed in this thread yet, but I'm in for a sample set, should you ever do an add on order.

LOL!!! Very true Zombs! My UPS guy has been the same for years so he probably carried more chip boxes than most humans on earth! ;)

Thanks Erik!

I think those mock-up threads are AWESOME! And I still haven't seen even one set that didn't get substantially better after all the comments...

The reasons I decided not to post mock ups of this set beforehand, and the ones coming this week as well, are many... I had to pull the trigger really quick to get the MD-50s run and I submitted artwork the last day possible and the clay was made like a day after my order... Also, I already had in mind the sort of feel I wanted for the set... And, it's good to get people surprised posting sets they never heard about, it's fun...

But I guess the main reason, and we talked about it in Chicago with 10%er, is that, personally, I don't feel super great asking for the community's help and then not offering sample sets... That's just me... And I have a different mindset as far as sample sets of customs chips are concerned... Nothing to do with security whatsoever, but I'm not a big fan of giving out samples... I don't get samples either, just to be consistent and fair... ;)

No worries about samples. I understand.

I might just take color photos of the chips, then print out 39mm images, and tape/glue them to duplicate chips I have, then put them in my display case

I appreciate the "no samples" viewpoint. I was also of the same mind, until Puggy requested a set. Somehow, having something I created winding up in Finland was suddenly the coolest thing I have ever accomplished.
