I have that same type of hidden compartment in my car, and it has proven to be handy on several occaisions. (usually, it's holding bourbon though)

Soooo.....how's marriage treating ya?? The faster your wife understands your issues the better. She is going to find out anyways. Sooner or later she is going to figure out your sickness. This addiction doesn't get better and obviously you have no chance of going cold turkey.

Personally I leave chips EVERYWHERE to the point it overwhelms her and she stops paying attention to what i do or don't have. Thats the key.

Oh she knows about and supports the hobby. That’s not the issue. Interrupting a family road trip/vacation to pick up chips? She would absolutely throw a flag on that so I needed to do it covertly. Father in law was even in on it.
