Custom artwork group buy. US/CAN CARDS MOLD (15 Viewers)

So pumped! @Eloe2000 was super kind and generous to share his artwork. Even tweaking the design of the 20 to a 25 chip.

Now I just have to figure out an order size. I never host tourneys so I need to do some research. For the tourney gurus, what would work for a T10K setup for a 10 person tourney?
400 chips = 120/120/50/75/35

Plus extras for spares and sample sets. :sneaky:

Thanks! Probably bump to around 500 to ensure enough spares and sample sets.

Personally in that case I would add onto the 1ks to at least 110 total and 5ks to at least 50 total to allow for color ups with 1ks but would also allow you to do a T100 base tournament (10/6/11/1) with rebuys in case you wanted to switch it up a little bit and keep players on their toes. But @BGinGA is the guru here.

The 400 chip config supports color-ups using T1000s, re-buys, and T25-base starting stacks up to T25K.

But having additional T1000s (and T5000s) always adds flexibility to a set. Bumping the T25/T100 counts to 160 each and the T500s to 80 will support 20 players at T25-base (160/160/80/140/60 = 600 chips) when needed, plus 10-player T100-base events.

At these prices, that's an extra sixty bucks.

25 x 120
100 x 120
500 x 50
1000 x 80 (incl. enough to color-up the 25 and 100)
5000 x 10 (rounded to 10 to color-up the 500)

If you play with rebuys, just add 20 other 5000 (one rebuy per person)

Starting stack = 12/12/5/6
Rebuys = 2 x 5000

--> 120/120/50/80/30 for a total of 400 chips

As suggested, take extras to cover loss, break, ...

Looking for last minute feedback!

These are designed for the 39mm card mold and I'm hoping to get the color as bright as possible within the bounds of CMYK printing (technically won't allow for fluorescent colors without special ink mixes). Legibility was a concern but I've printed some 1:1 scale versions and haven't had any issues. These will be used for board games (18xx, etc.) most often and some poker on the side. The 25k chip started out as a gag but it really grew on me so we'll see if it'll make it to production.

I really struggled with the 5k chip color but after going through several versions I've continued to come back to a darker blue, brown just didn't look right with this set.

If there's any interest out there I'd be open to doing sample sets and I'll be including plaques for 100 and 25k.

I'm not much of a board gamer but it looks like these would fit into a SciFi type scheme.

I think they'd be better suited for a flat ceramic chip vs the cards mold. May be pretty cool on the 43mm flat chip that folks are also ordering.

From a poker chip perspective, I'm wondering if there would be dirty stack issues with the 1/2 and 5 if lighting is dark/poor.

Is there significance to the back pattern design? For a poker chip I find it a bit too busy - almost looks like a QR code. Maybe use the pattern from the denom side?

I had considered the flats but currently feel more comfortable with the 39mm since we have more images / videos of these and some hands on impressions in the thread. I'm not sure if that's something that can be proofed and then decided but I'll work with Sean.

I've since changed up the edge spots on the fracs to further differentiate them, I'll include an updated picture below.

The back pattern was mostly my attempt to change things up, I also have a version that's a clone of the front without the center denom. I really enjoyed trying to push the geometry / two-toned themed.

I appreciate the feedback!

I’m fairly new to the forum; stumbled across trying to upgrade on dice chips, ended up getting some CCs but now I’m getting hooked! I’m interested in this group buy but have questions if you don’t mind me asking them:

- Maybe I didn’t look hard enough but does anyone have some of these that can comment on the quality of the chip?

- I see I missed the artwork deadline; is it still available or was that a hard close date? If I did, is it possible to get in on the buy and possibly piggyback someone’s design?

Again I’m so sorry for all the questions. I’ve met some great ppl on here and because of you guys I’m falling further and further down the rabbit hole of the chipping world! LOL

Looking for some feedback on the 43mm flats. Look and feel? Does inlay artwork cover the whole face of the chip?
Thanks

FWIW if anyone is still finalizing their art a lot of people are using Inkscape to create their artwork. The default save option is SVG, however you can also save your Inkscape file as EPS which is much better and much less likely to create issues when opening up in Illustrator. These Inkscape SVG files are creating compatibility issues behind the scenes here. This only pertains to those who haven’t submitted artwork yet. If there was issues with your art you should have already been contacted.

I’m not very creative at all. I didn’t realize designing a chip layout is that intense. Is it possible to mimic someone’s design if I can still get in on this GB?

@SeanGecko will have the final say, but I think if you piggy back on existing art and get a breakdown to Sean pretty quickly, you are probably good to join in.

And if I already gave you my email...... just send the bloody art.
Or paste a google drive link.
I'm a bit frustrated today overall so I might be a little short with people. Better than yelling at clients. Cheers people.

Thanks guys. Yes Sean - please don’t worry too much about it. I’ve found some really helpful folks here and you guys are all willing to chime in. If someone is willing to share I’d love to take a look and see the diff layouts ppl have made.

Stay sane Sean. You are doing amazing work.
It's got to be overwhelming/frustrating.

It's all good and we're all patient!
^^ This. And as captain of the ship, sometimes you just have to draw a line in the sand and move on, leaving some laggards behind. (Sorta mixed the metaphors there, but you get the idea.) It's not like this has been available for just a few hours/days.... it's been posted for 6-1/2 weeks.

"Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part." Words to live by.

I am sending Tim my tweaks but since he is out of town my final design and edges should be ready next week...well i cant answer for Tim, but i think my tweaks are minimal

so ready to be finished, send my money and then well wait and wait and wait then have the best Christmas ever

Thanks Sean, for your hard work and help along the way

The frustration stems from non PCF stuff. Life is not just chips.
Thanks all!!

If anybody wants in on this set of micro stakes chips here, just tell me how many. Not samples, but like a set. I can increase my order. You'll pay for shipping from me when I have them, but I can do that easy enough. Zero extra work for our group buy guru, except maybe an extra box.
