Custom artwork. US/CAN CARDS MOLD 2: The Quickening!! (5 Viewers)

I may have asked this before, Sean, but do they have other shapes? Like, oh I don’t know ... octagons?

Is there validity in getting a dozen Canadian chippers together for a Canadian buy? How deep is the bulk discount with 12k chips v 100k chips? Also, when the prev group buy happened, did everyone get to submit their own designs? Did each design have a minimum?

Yes this makes the most sense. Sean can answer. But I asked him earlier and right around 10k chips gets you a nice discount and the shipping makes sense. Beyond a certain point you loose any marginal advantage.

Everyone submits their own designs and it still counts towards the order quantity to achieve the volume discount. So for example if you get 10 people with 1000 chip sets you will be at a good place.

I wouldbe in with you if you start that group

Does the art work need to be done before you place the order?
I assume yes just curious.

I might be looking for one of those “splinter cells” as well. Not because of 10% price hike, I just really want some damn chips sooner then later!

I’m in the US and down for minimum 2k and possibly up to 5k if my second set art work jives.

I'm interested in ordering just some additional amounts for the chips I ordered in round 1 before the price hike.

I'm interested in probably 2-3k 43mm chips and would maybe want a small number of larger ones, depending on price.

Hopefully the volume necessary for price tiers counts multiple sizes.

Thinking of a NCC set, a custom limit set, and 1-2 other custom sets.

I don't know how I missed the initial GB...

I noticed that someone did a tribute to the Starlite aka "Bird Cruise" chip set? Anyone know who this was and if there might be another run?

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction :)

Can you see what the impact of mixing chip sizes is?
This is not from the original source FYI. This is a different merchant. Different machinery. Just an FYI. Might want to move it to a different thread.

Keeping this thread for Tina and co.

No hate, just attempting to keep confusion at Bay.

Also, part of the benefit of the grouping is to consolidate shipping. For the color sample chips the shipping was actually significantly more than the chips themselves.

Do we have an info thread available?
One with all the consolidated info?
Sizes
Finishes
Molds
Colors
Artwork requirements
Tiered pricing
Seconded.

Is there a central post where one can find a summary of all the necessary information for a potential purchase?

Thanks! :)

Yikes, that's a lot of pages! lol. Your OP there is actually very helpful, thank-you!

Question: I understand that chip designs within a group buy can be different. I see there's a photo of a "diamond mold" chip in the OP. Was diamond mold an option as well? Or do all chips have to be the same mold within a single buy?

I recommend you assume a little variability in the pricing. Honestly it seems a little on fly. But it also seems it has gone up a couple pennies since GB1. As of 11/23/20 I had a rough quote of:

39mm cards mold:
$0.28 at > 10,000
$0.30 at > 2,000-5,000
$0.40 at > 500-1,000

43mm
$0.28 per chip at > 1,000

*quantities do not apply across sizes/molds

Shipping:

Approx. $0.025/per chip by weight shipped by boat when ordering more than 10,000 chips.

Pantone colors. May be safe by using CMYK. 33 sets of color sample wheels are floating around.
