If true that this persons actions come as a surprise then I would be surprised that this situation is repeated.

Yup, I have a guess, but it is only a guess, and I agree with Redbelly, that this will hopefully be the last we ever hear of this unpleasantness.
For any of us to out the person who we are guessing about would be clearly irresponsible. First of all, I only have a guess. Second, it is not my place to air the dirty laundry, as I was not involved with the transaction. There are exactly 2 people who have a right to say anything, Mipevi, and the person with whom Mipevi had the deal. Personally, I would prefer to see the mea culpa apology post, but I also accept that this person made good, and at least sent the apology PM/e-mail.
I'd bet dollars to donuts, (2:1, and I'm gluten intollerant) that if another occurrence happens between someone and a long time chipper, the next person will not hold back. Since this is such a rare occurrence, and it has been made good, let's just get back to PCFing and getting psyched up for the next meet up or chip purchase, or talking about eggs, or whatever we see on the WTF thread, or any other glorious use of this forum we find entertaining. I think we've seen all we're gonna see here. I'm just glad Mipevi seems to be made whole, and we don't need to stone the naughty villager.

I've been contacted by this person, and things are being taken care of. I'll update again after I've received the money.
