Did you look up that specific school? Obviously I am in the WRONG part of town (I have been working for the past year in NW DC, believe me... I DON'T belong here!)

I feel like when we were growing up Patrick we called the fancy schools "Tech" schools... I have never heard of "College High Schools" but this one looks like it has been there for a long time. I guess Howard County MD wasn't "rich enough"

Matter of fact I don't even see NW DC on the list

But technically I guess it's NOT a county. IDK... sounds like a lot of $$$ to send your kids to high school!
man, we've moved down to #5. we were #2 for a while, behind Loudoun. (which is where we moved from before coming here)

The private schools in the Baltimore/DC area are insane. Mt. De Sales, Mt. Saint Joes (Mark Texiera), Calvert Hall, Dematha (lots of NFL players), Cardinal Gibbons, Boys Latin, McDonogh, .. the list goes on and on ..

I graduated from Hammond Class of 00. Right in the middle of the "safest city in the US... Columbia" but there are reasons why I moved to Ole Carroll County where folks drive tractors to Voting Stations... still plenty of $$$ in Carroll but just not Stupid money! Lol

We do have Gerstell Academy in our Back Yard... not exactly a "cheap private school" by any means. No idea what it costs to go there but they have scollarships like college kids. But still not cool enough to call it a "College High School" lol!

This is where my old boss sent both of her kids (twins). They are graduating this year, and off to college.

You do know that “Fanny” means something different over here?
TIL what "fanny" means in Scotland (after googling it). Thank you, the internet.

I'm assuming "PopTartUS" is USA based. Still a post that is WTF on many levels and now even another level. I can see why Irn Bru weighed in.

The cities of Baltimore and DC have quite a few private schools with histories going back to the mid 1800s. Probably dozens. My wife attended one called Mt De Sales. It was so old their distinguished alum include general McCaurthers mother.

Calver Hall College is another example in Baltimore, but there are many others. Some pretty famous people attended that one.
I’m not sure I would go as far to call myself famous, infamous maybe. Class of 88 represent.
