Dinner Plans? (6 Viewers)

Finally attempted to cook a pheasant. Marinated overnight in wine. The side is non “traditional”, but I couldn’t let all the goodness in the pan get wasted, so pasta in the pan after cooking sounded good.

At least it looks edible.

The last time I had pheasant was 35ish years ago when I was taking a year off between school and university and working in a pub and living at a farm. The farmer liked his pheasant extremely high/gamey to a point where it was virtually rotten - absolutely disgusting! - and I am not a fussy eater.

Turkey pot pie to finish the feastival.

Unfortunately, I can't find the original large can anymore. It took two of these tonight. Served with a really nice Nizza wine from Cameron Hughes, and the last of the wonderful whole Grayson cheese I bought about two months ago.

Off to ten days in the Caribbean tomorrow! Food on Celebrity probably won't be up to Dinty's standards, though... :(

finally got around to using the brisket from the cow we bought earlier this year and it turned out incredible. 250F until 195F (no wrap) and then into a cooler for a couple hours. made some miso maple carrots and some balsamic brussels sprouts to go with it. no pics - the old fashoneds were flowing.

cheers, friends.
