Dunes Clay Poker Chip Pre-Sale (4 Viewers)

I just placed the order with the factory. Once the $20 chip is created I will have a better idea when we will get these. It they make some prototypes I will post pictures here.

How many chips were in the final order? (If you can share)

So what kind of racks do we think work best for this type of chip? I know it's kind of a crapshoot until they're in our hands, but based on prior China Clay sets what's the consensus? Just trying to plan ahead a little or snag a good deal in the interim if one pops ups. I know we have a ton of time.

I am a noob, but when I bought my 1000 chip acrylic case the racks that came with it worked perfectly on my majestics.

The safest bet for china clays are the cheap 70mm racks. Stacks of 20 from will vary from denom to denom, and cc's tend to be a little thicker than your average Paulson/CPC chip, anyway. The 70mm racks won't likely fit them snugly, but typically the 66.7/67.7mm racks will only hold 19 chips per barrel.

Alternatively, just put them in a 500 or 1k briefcase - that's frequently what I do with my china clays.

Are we talking like the Brybelly birdcage on Amazon?

Seems like solid advice, too. If the 70mm aren't snug on all denoms, would a chip spacer do the trick for those wobbly barrels? Doesn't need to be perfect by any stretch. I just would prefer the chips, if in a rack, to fit properly so they're not taking weight on weird points and causing damage.

The Chipco ones people suggested for Paulson's before PGI realized they had their own replica Paulson racks fit my majestics perfectly and all my Pharaoh's except the $5s. It might be worth the risk.

Are those as hard to find as it sounds?

I use the 1" foam circles that you can find at any local crafts store (or online)...that way you get a real nice tight fit. And you can even color-match if you really want. :D

Does anyone know the internal barrel measurement for the Brybelly racks?

We are working on the new chips now. Since we are adding the $20 chip the art will change. What do you guys think about removing "commemorative" from the top on all denominations?

I don't think this is a good idea. It could potentially cause confusion with the real Dunes chips

I would prefer my chips not say "commemorative" {or, moreso "commemmorative"} & i would prefer people didn't attempt to defraud others & ruin it for the rest of us.

it's not a deal-breaker by any means ~it would just be cooler if it wasn't there

The original Borland ASM's only had the dates on them. I was never sure why these had to say commemorative.

I didn't get in on the presale but plan to get some eventually. And I am very much in favor of the idea

As long as you have the dates on the chips. There are already plenty of people trying to sell commemoratives for 4 $ a chip on eBay
