Emerald Bay Club - Matsui cash set GROUP BUY -- ORDER THREAD, CLOSED (7 Viewers)

OP has been updated (except for @Ghoti's most recent change).
We're just over 20600, and that doesn't include @BGinGA's order, or any of the sample sets (which will add another 500 chips or so).

Order window open for 9 more hours, so make sure you have added any spares you want for your set, and finish any final tinkering.

Remember how many chips can be sent in the flat rate boxes: Up to 600 MFRB, and 800 LFRB domestic (not sure on the weight for international shipping...limited to 20 pounds, so not sure if 800 would fit under that weight limit?). If you're shipping a box that is less than capacity, consider it free shipping on additional chips, that fills up the box you're already paying for! LOL ;)

We only have 3 chips that won't meet the Matsui minimum of 500 chips (based on current orders, anyway), and I've already been told that they will waive the low-count fee based on the size of our overall order.

Interestingly, the green frac that was added at the last minute is the run away favorite!
The blue $1 is also miles ahead of the other $1 options (the entire project was born from my desire to have this blue $1 chip)
There is pretty good support for each of the $5 options.
The purple $25 is the clear favorite from the $20/$25 options.
And there is a fairly equal split between the black and white hundos.

Over 20,000 chips! I can't wait to see them all in one place. SWEET.

Well, as of right now, it looks like the artwork fees (Matsui and inlay artwork) come to about $0.059/chip. Guessing $0.12/chip for freight, we're looking at $1.33 for 2-color chips, and $1.39 for 3-color chips. Plus reshipping to you.

Can't hold me to that, it's totally going to depend on the freight quote. I'm on the other side of the country from Tommy, so I'm not sure how much different the freight quote might be! But even estimating on the high side for freight, I'd think we'll be under $1.38/$1.44. Hopefully closer to the $1.33/1.39!

Everybody should check their order in the OP. However, I'm not going to make any more revisions there, until after the order closes and I can make the final tally. Just FYI.

Almost stayed out of it but gotta get a set, Chips are too sweet. Will get extras via a couple of sample sets.

I thought I read the answer to this question in an earlier post but I can’t find it. When are we expecting to actually see these chips?

Chip production should take 4-6 weeks, so we should have chips in our hands by end of July, or early August.
I'll turn them around to you as soon as I can. Taking a page from Tommy's playbook, I'll have all of the flat rate boxes all double-boxed with bottoms taped, ready to be filled.

I also ordered sample sets.

I have recovered from my temporary plastic chip insanity, and will not be ordering any of these GB chips (other than a sample set).

Not a quick or easy decision, but one prompted by a) the set I want requiring the re-label of several hundred chips, b) insufficient decent mold options to put together a unique pattern set in my desired colors, and c) spending a great deal of time today with my Matsui tourney chips and ultimately deciding I actually can't stand much about them, square edges or not.

But congrats on hitting the 20K mark, Mel -- you should be very proud of the substantial effort put forth here.

So, when is your tourney set going up for sale?

No worries. I hope I am able to come to my senses if I'm ever tempted by hybrids again. LOL. We like what we like, we don't what we don't. :p
