Hey all,

Just wanted to use my first post to say “hi” and a bit about what lead me here. I was 18 when the poker craze hit, (i.e. Moneymaker winning the big one), and caught the itch bigley. Countless books (winning low limit hold em, play poker like the pros, and of course “the Bible”) later, I was traveling up to a small Reservation poker room that was 18 and up, playing $1-$2 limit games. Well life, as it tends to do, actually started, and my wife, kids, career took my “poker time” away. I’m finally ready to get a home game going again, and that means getting respectable chips as my first step, which is why I’m here! Sorry for the novel, but looking forward to chatting and potentially doing business with some of you!

Welcome glad to have ya on the forum! Great place to find a solid set of chips to start up your home games!

Welcome to the forum man! Great place to start your life's poker revival!

I also started with wanting to host games again about a year ago. Bought the table first as @allforcharity points out. I must say, I think it's sound advice.

But...doesn't hurt to have the chips too!!!:nailbite:

Any idea what you may like? What you did like? Tournament? Cash? Both....then you have an excuse to buy MOAR! :wow:

Welcome to PCF. You might want to consider getting some samples before buying a full set.
You definitely don't need to invest a fortune to start some home games but then again, you may some beautiful chips here and want the best for yourself lol

Welcome to the forum!
Amazing how many members, including myself, share the same story of falling in love with poker many years ago, then took a long break from the game and are now getting back into it. Petty cool actually.
Cheers

Hello and welcome!

Actually, truth be told, the first step to serious home poker is a good table. Initially, no one gives a flying frog about chips, but they see a good table and they will go "WHOA!". You can start your chip search in earnest as you save (or win!).

What he said. Welcome and enjoy the ride. Good luck with your game!
