The chips might be clays—hard to say, but I seem to see some Paulsonish striations on the rolling edges. They appear to have an unmarked inlay or label with some kind of black-and-white water scene. But it’s the case that is the unusual attraction here, I suspect.

Guns aren’t my thing, so I put this out there for someone else who might find it of interest.

I like it, I wish there were better pics though. Says something about the wood being split but there aren't any pictures to show it.

I've seen a few of these here and there. If anyone's actually interested in buying one name the price here and I'll drop you a line if I see one for that or less.

Nice I.D. Site says:

>> “Shipped 1925 to H. C. Evans, Chicago. This is a generic chip, used for private poker games, and since they came in so many colors, they were probably used in illegal clubs for roulette and other table games.” <<<

Sounds like these were Home Game chips way back when. Trying to remember if HCE was just a distributor or if they made chips as well.

Anyway, AntiqueGamblingChips appears to be selling these for $9 each... If that is really market rate, someone could in theory turn a nice profit on these even at 1/3 the price.

Yep, the chips are clay. Made by U.S.P.C. (US-13) http://www.antiquegamblingchips.com/uspc.htm
@duffman, I don't want to burst your bubble, but personally, I wouldn't bet the farm that these are "clay," or at least the same type of 'clay' we're used to in Paulson or CPC chips, even though the 'Bible' of chip molds website, identifies these as "Crest & Seal" and states that "Crest & Seal" chips are clay. Although, full disclosure, I don't have any personal knowledge of what the "Crest & Seal" chips look like or feel like in person.

One reason wouldn't bet the farm on it, is the way the edges of the chips reflect light, in the zoom in on the hi-res photos on the website, to me looks similar to other plastic or bakelite chips of that era. But I could be wrong.

Just leave it to me to set expectations low, and hope any potential buyer would be pleasantly surprised to find they are clay, (versus the other way around.)

It's a very cool case, though, and one that actually allows you to see the edges/colors of the chips themselves.

to my ameteur eye some of those chips look to square to be plastic or bakelight. I was those had more rounded edges

I think maybe @DrStrange has some of these.
