I put cupholders on my table like that.......they fold away so they can't even be seen when not used....keeps drinks below table level for ease of dealing and total lack of spillage.

I would be reluctant to approach that table. I know they are going to try to sell me on something, but I want to see what promotional items they may be giving away.

Wasted craftsmanship. Again, if cupholders are deep enough (which I doubt, on a topper) it could be fixed placing a neoprene playing surface within the area defined by the cupholders / carved chip racks.
