THIS IS NOT A DIBS THREAD. MAKE AN OFFER
Met a really nice fellow recently who ran a local card room back in the day. I was hoping he might have some chips and indeed he does, but they're all singles. I myself might want to pick up a few of them, but I also offered to help him sell the collection.
I'm going to start by soliciting per/chip offers. Shipping costs to be covered by the buyer, don't include them in your offer. Please make your offer in this thread. If you want to make an offer for the entire lot, please do as well.
My plan is to go back to Dick with a ballpark figure for the sale and see if he agrees. If he does, I will facilitate payment and shipping.
I'll take offers in an informal auction format, taking offers indefinitely and also making a judgement call when balancing between single-chip offers and groups-of-chips offers. Hope this format makes sense.
There are almost 600 chips so things might get a little unwieldy. To make identification easier let's try this: note the sheet number, the row by using letters A-E and the column by numbers 1-4. For example, the Charlie Mac's would be: Sheet 2 D1, D2
Also, please chime in if you think I should be doing this differently, breaking up the quantities into different threads, etc.
