.60/ for 9m.
Targetsportsusa usually has 9mm for around .55 FWIW (Federal, Magtech, etc - all brass FMJ). .45 ACP closer to .65..60/ for 9m.
I was in the same boat .. wanted a spare. Especially when I felt like part my AR fleet might get flagged as NFA with the pistol brace issue. I do like BCM myself. This one is NFA compliant (for now).I'm about to pick up another AR 15, just a spare so nothing special. I'm thinking of grabbing a Ruger AR 556 Magpul or just putting together a PSA midlength Magpul rifle. Any thoughts on which one? I'm looking more towards the Ruger, just cuz...and I'm not sure I feel like putting another one together.
What’s the budget? S&W is supposedly making some nicely specd rifles. Follow Mrsgunsngear of Facebook. He always posts dealsI'm about to pick up another AR 15, just a spare so nothing special. They seem to have retreated on the brace thing for now, but who knows what they will try in a few months. I may SBR my braced pistol.I was in the same boat .. wanted a spare. Hi TriCautionary note!
This thread exists outside the “politics” section because it focuses on gun ownership, not the politics of guns. Explaining gun laws in the states vs Oz is fine, but debating guns and gun ownership from a political standpoint is going to get content deleted. I think what’s been posted thus far is ok, but others may feel obligated to chime in to debate the merits of guns, effects of guns on crime and on mass shooting, etc.
I think recent posts are certainly flirting in the debate realm.
.60/ for 9m.
5.56x45 is $1/rd locally. And on many places online. Has been for weeks.
That is a genuine concern. Especially when gun laws are heavily influenced by people who know next to nothing about guns. Their opinions are based more on how scary a gun looks, than the actual capability of that gun. Case in point: This is still legal because it does not look scary.I was in the same boat .. wanted a spare. What’s the recoil like on that bad boy? I have a 686 S&W that shoots 357 Mag - is it heavier than that?!?!Yes Todd... I was on a wait list years ago when they came out... like an idiot 2 months later they released the 3" chamber version! Mine only holds 2 1/2"
I thought it would be nasty but quite pleasant, the ribbed rubber grips absorb most of it, a bit of muzzle jump but I feel like that is expected. I am 6ft and 250lvs which I feels plays a part! LolWhat’s the recoil like on that bad boy? I have a 686 S&W that shoots 357 Mag - is it heavier than that?!?!
Until they require us to retroactively pay $200 per pop or turn em in.Remember this time when prices eventually come down. “Buy it cheap and stack it deep”. Picked up about 3000 rounds a few months before things went crazy. Should have got a lot more as most who actually shoot their guns know that isn’t very much..but it’s enough to allow range days. Classes are out of the question for now.
One this thing that’s still cheap our magazines. Just bought another 10 for my AR.
A year ago you could get 1000 rounds of brass 5.56 for $275 from several vendors. I cleaned out two Walmart’s of ammo when they went political at .15 round for 5.56 and 45....1200 of each. This was 2 years ago from a sale in Canada on (US Black Friday)....... we had to pay 13% taxes on that so it was a little more expensive at the time than in the USA...... Seems like a fairytale doesn't it?
(Buy It Cheap And Stack It Deep)
The scary question is........ Is the current price cheap compared to what we will see 2 years from now?

Nothing to take from me.
Nah, I'd shoot em first... with a rubber bandThey can still kill your dog.
I think they will tread lightly despite the rhetoric. They don’t want to instigate a SCOTUS case that could nullify a lot of arbitrary laws.Re Old State
I agree ammo may even become very very cheap once it becomes a liability to own it if the government in the US under Biden goes full bore against the 2nd Amendment as promised..... stores and suppliers may be looking to clear stock before being stuck with illegal goods.
Or as always price may just plateau and stay the same with manufacturers and sellers reaping the bounty of the new normal.
This may be a upcoming purchase. Slap a suppressor on this thing and you may have the ultimate pest control rifle. Au revoir gophér!
