Harrahs New Orleans NCV THC chip sale (3 Viewers)

I would actually only be interested in buying if they're unleaded, is there any way we could test?

I'm going to address this as a legitimate concern, and reply seriously.
I'm also going to preface this entire post saying "I am not a doctor, or any kind of medical professional."

The amount of lead in older casino/poker chips is relatively low compared to the rest of the "ingredients " that make up chips. Also, the only way to be contaminated, is to eat or inhale any parts of the chips, such as particles that may chip off, or chip dust.
My Google search reveals that lead on your hands and fingers can pose a risk if you then touch your eyes, nose or mouth, such as when eating food. Simply washing your hands thoroughly will eliminate this risk.
I'm summary, treat handling chips like you would when you handle cash: wash your hands. (You do wash your hands after handling cash, right?)

Once again, I am not a medical professional, so I don't know for sure. I could be wrong on parts of what I said.

Leaded chips are extremely overrated and over-valued.

But seriously... It took me years to "get" leaded chips. And yes, they are expensive.

At the same time, I understand that some people don't care about them and never will. And that's ok too!

That leaves more leaded chips for the rest of us.

While not joking, I'll duck for cover now.
I wouldn’t go as far to say overrated or over value but they are a proud bunch and a bit arrogant. I call them lead heads. But hey! Love a chipper whose passionate!
Most argue I'm probably brain dead with what I pay for chips!

Don’t get me started…

So I do know the current science around it says we should be fine, especially after washing hands, but that actually concerns me cause I have eczema and am always breaking that skin-blood barrier, so I'm not sure if the research applies to me. So I much prefer to stay safe...

Understandable.
Then you should probably stay away from these. They still could be leaded. And at the very least, they were mixed in with chips we know are leaded.

I can recommend more recent chips like the Horseshoe, Indina Grand, DiamondJacks, and JACK casinos. And the nagb chips: AS ES RPC and Tiger Palace.
No lead in any of them.

I'm willing to bet that most of us are at much higher risk of adverse health consequences of the occasional exposure to second hand smoke than a lifetime of daily handling of poker chips that happen to contain lead.

Super appreciate the advice. My main set is Jacks Cincinatti right now, which I love because they've got the big promotional chips to use for 25/100/500s, but I've been thirsting for a tourney set as well, and I've been bitten by the chipper bug. I did accidentally buy a bunch of Lake Elsinores that I haven't had time to offload yet, as soon as I opened the packaging and saw the warning I was like "oh no", so now I'm trying to confirm whether the chip is leaded or not before I buy

I don’t know that that’s true. It’s pretty well documented that for fully leaded chips, the lead makes up well over 40% of the chip’s weight. I don’t know what that translates to in volume or what you mean by “relatively low,” so this isn’t really an argument but it seems pretty significant to me.
