Dedication I guess?
I knew I wanted to get a playable set out of the nugget before we got into town. So I pounded the poked room and the craps table there for three days to get my set. Basically I sorted any sharp chips and put them in my backpack throughout the weekend
My main harvest method is to play craps at a $10 table. Bet $10 on the pass line and $10 odds. And then place $10 bets on the 5 and 9 and $12 bets on the 6 and 8. Every time and 5,6,8, or 9 is hit, you get $14. Pocket the good $1s and tip with crappy $1s. It takes time, and you have to avoid consecutive brutal rolls or your bankroll takes a hit. But I managed to make it work. Bally’s craps table was really rough. Lost a few hundred playing this way. But had a nice run at the nugget to even things out as far as craps goes.
Limit poker games are also great harvesting opportunities. Boulder Station is great right now even though it sounds like they out of $2s. The $1s are really nice. Probably 25 sharp $1s per rack.
Circus Circus is brutally tough right now. Casino is only open at irregular times:

And even when it’s open it looks like this:

This was Vegas. On a Saturday. During March madness.
No craps tables until later in the night. They only had three tables open total Saturday afternoon and two were roulette. I actually stayed there just to try to get more $1s for my jack rabbit slim’s set. And I only got 58 chips out of there. We offered to tip the cage $100 and they still told us to piss off. Really tough to get chips out of there right now.
But overall, a great trip.
