I guess most people hate $25 chips 'cause they represent an odd number, not an even one.
Mostly: people with a severe OCD, and Lord knows I 'm one of them.
Up to "reasonable" $1/3 stakes, $20 chips will do the job AND are actually MORE PRACTICAL.
Anything above those stakes, $25s become much more efficient.
But those stakes are only safe to play in professional venues (if ever).
Again, if the $25s ruin your mood, why not spend extra money on clay and have proportionately more $20s.
At $5/10 stakes though, it becomes ridiculous to not use $25s. I repeat those are casino-safe stakes only.
Numerical and OCD things settled, if color is your problem, just paint them whatever you like, in a custom set.
