Honestly I dont care weather a chip is from a casino or not. I just want them to be leaded with shaped and textured inlays. Is that so much to ask. Lol
This. This. This. Can’t like this statement or write “this” enough to signal my total agreement with every word.

@Ben8257....we need a new head count for 2020!
Hmm... I agree probably time for a count... but I agree with @David O pretty confident we have at least 1000 chips! Lol probably in the 25K range now but as it has been mentioned before if you only count chips that are $1 or more that number would drop to probably 10k... we will have to do the math I guess

Realistically, I gave up focusing on quantity and started really focusing on quality. Since my focus changed I quit counting how many chips I have but maybe I'll count them when I get them unpacked next month. I do kind of miss looking at them and definitely miss putting them in play.

On another note I even quit collecting certain sets and changed my focus on collecting racks. I think I have a pretty big mixed set which has many different chips to use. All of the chips in the Mixed set are from Nevada as well! I can't get enough of the Nevada $1's and Fracs!

I’m a total Newb with about 3.3k chips. 2k are China Clays and 1.3k are Paulsons. The chips I buy are all for use in either tourney or cash games. I do have a few near mint singles that I use as card protectors though. Interesting to know how many of those members with 25k, 50k and over purchase their chips as “Collectors” or for use in games. In any case, I can see with time my chip collection getting significantly larger.

Besides sample sets and singles, every set of chips I own (I have more than this now) has and will continue to see the felt, from my bicycle tire Jessie Beck's to my mint PCA.

Same here. I don't buy sets to sit on the shelf. That isn't any fun. I often let guys pick which set they want to hit the felt. Especially if its an out of town PCF'er.

About 7,000, but that includes about 1,000 which are in cold storage which are not in any active use/rotation.

Another question (harder to answer) might be: How many chips have you owned? That is, how many have passed through your hands, including those now sold?

I’m guessing that would get me to more like 15K. There’s been a lot of trial-and-error to get to this point.

Personally, most of what I have purchased over the years are still with me. I did trade a set and sold one set to fund the start of my Tropicana set. Other than that I think I have sold a few racks, traded numerous racks. Not sure what my count is right now but to me that number does not really mean much. For me it is more about quality of chips.

I really get a kick out of seeing many purchase and within a couple of days or sometimes even before they receive the chips they have them up for sale.

What a fun hobby!

Keep on Chipping!
