All I know is when I retire for good, I'm buying an RV to travel the country with hopes of attending a meetup or two or three or four just for the opportunity to play with some of the incredible sets in this thread.
Lol. I was so in awe of the 20 racks of $1s that the 7 racks of AS $20s (or $5s) didn’t even register.And yellow $5s.

I'm honestly looking forward to meeting some of you cool cats on here... It's funny to think I thought you all were a bunch of crazy people paying the amount of money on poker chips, but now I'm already 3k - 4k invested into poker chips, and I now have nothing but love and respect for everyone on here. Some of the best people I could have ever met online and can't wait to meet in person.

43mm are awesome, just a little to steep for me right now with the baby in my life now
I have only played poker twice this year, so it's hard to justify even buying more chips, since they won't get used as much as I used to play. If you haven't had a baby yet, you will soon find out for yourself how much of a time commitment it is, but such a blessing.

I honestly don't really know, I was really really drunk when I posted that thread. The term scrub, donkey "donk" , and mule are a bunch of poker references to people who make horrible plays in poker or who suck at poker, so I think I was referencing all of them together, calling you guys a bunch of scrub donkey mules

There's a formula we use in cycling to determine the correct number of bicycles one should own, which I feel would be equally applicable to chipping:
n + 1 = perfect amount of chip sets (n = number of chip sets currently owned).

I was supposed to be playing cards right now. Change in plans for my sister in law's bachelorette party because of COVID made me reschedule what was going to be a full cash game last night (well, full for me at 6 to 7 players) to today.
Two that were originally going to play last night cancelled this morning, and another player cancelled 3 hours before game time because his mother's boss has COVID and he was in her company yesterday for a few hours. Fuck COVID.
My pain is this thread's gain. I got out all of my sets for a photo shoot. This is the last I'm going to post in this thread until my new CPC's come in and I complete two other sets I'm still working on.

I "get" a tournament set & a cash game set. But any more than that, aren't you just "wasting" the chips that don't get used? I'm sure you have a favorite, and not playing with those to get use on other sets is kind of sad, because you'd be "happier" playing with your favorite!

No. Unlike me, many folks on the forum host weekly or monthly games. They rotate the sets.
Yup, though games haven't run as often as they used to, I generally rotate and pick a set I feel like playing with that day. 3 cash sets and 1 tournament set aren't too difficult to rotate through. Come to think about it, I guess I have room for one or two more sets..

Why? Why not pick a favorite and stick with it?
There's a lot of really nice sets out there so it'd be difficult for us to limit ourselves to just one. Heck most of the time when I sell a set I wonder if I'd regret it later. Not all sets are easy to come by.
Some also say that having multiple sets helps add to game security so people can't just go find the chips and bring them in. Do we always fear that someone is trying to cheat? Not so much but having a rotation from time to time helps eliminate that fear. Customs would do the same thing.
I rotate between my PNY and AS set. Now I also have the Crow Plaza Abiattas. The crew likes all of them as much as I do.
