Hustler Casino Live (2 Viewers)

This whole debate has me totally spun around. I agree that we have zero evidence of cheating. But I can’t get over the idea that something stinks here. And that’s after watching a 40 minute interview with Robbi, where I thought she came off as sincere and maybe even sympathetic.
This whole affair is nothing but drama and gossip, and we find it compelling because humans are stupid and social like a pack of chimps. The only question that matters is "did she cheat" and the only evidence that she did is "she made a bad call". Absolutely everything else (on any side) is noise, screeching, and social signaling. It's got you spun around because you've become invested in it, understandably, thanks to the screeching chimp factor, but there's no there there for you to make sense of.

[shrug] It just means you're human.

I’m in for the “Screeching Chimps” T-shirt and dealer button- lol! Who’s got the artwork

Screeching Chimps, 2nd only to Scrub Donkeys- lol. Priceless - love it!

Ugh, this one hits me.

I've been dodgy on streams for a few months now. It seems like every other week there's a brand new BIGGEST POT EVER or CRAZIEST HAND EVER bold-neon-font update on these channels. Hitting specifics, none of Alan Keating's bizarro "hero" play has made any damn sense to me.

And yes, my tinfoil hat is nice and comfy. But in a world run by clicks-and-views and fake news, nothing would surprise me. If any of this is engineered, it would seem like livestream poker is merely the semi-scripted Bachelorette or Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for the opposite sex. It's the same trainwreck trash TV but for bored beerbelly men.
I'm not convinced that this is the case, though just with all of the other theories being thrown out there, this one shouldn't be discounted. Based on what we've seen from the Hustler stream since it's inception regarding it's ethos on who they're willing to let play on their stream, I wouldn't put it past them.

Eric Persson said something poignant to me. He's obnoxious as all hell and is the epitome of a super aggro laggy player, but for him to say "this game is effed up" speaks volumes. His talking play is second to none and his reads are above average. If his bullshit meter is going off, I take notice. He wouldn't be on board with two players being in a staking arrangement sitting at the same table if he had found out in the moment when Rip went off on Garrett, I don't think.

I think that some other whales like Ben and Reza stopped playing or have been playing a lot less because something doesn't seem straight about the game. It will be interesting to see how many more players follow suit, Persson, Ivey, and Andy included.

More important than the content of this episode, you may find that a better camera angle for your podcast looks more professional, right now it looks like its being shot on a ring camera.

Ty, I adjusted the camera so it looks better next time

I think it's a stretch as well, but I'm just throwing it out there for discussion.

Something else that was brought up on one of the Reddit threads is that the production team brings their own dealers for these games. To me this is... odd, to say the least.

I have to wonder what kind of contract is in place where both the Bike and Hustler would allow this, not to mention the gaming commission. Are these games even operating/sanctioned under the oversight of the casino? Or does the casino just serve as the brand/venue and the actual card game is wholly owned/managed by the production team? If so... that gets into some really wild/sketchy territory where all bets are off (from a gaming security standpoint). I mean, going down the rabbit hole, that could mean these games are potentially just YouToobz entertainment, and really have nothing to do with legitimate poker.

This is pretty funny, and a lot of truth in it!

The thing is if it were only a terrible call, there wouldn't be any controversy.

It's actually "Robbi's a fish who made a call so unimaginable that it's barely believable from someone who's never played poker before, much less a player who's been playing for high stakes cash for a year."

I.e., the routine on top has a vault or balance beam involved, too!

Very interesting she doesn't want to press charges. Wonder if this was her inside guy and she doesn't want him to rat on her?
Lol.

I was about to post that people will use the fact she didn't press charges as further proof she cheated.

So predictable.

Robbi not pressing charges is more than a little sus to me and I am even on the side leaning “not cheating”. Unless her returning the money and not pressing charges on this their really are resulting from a “not wanting to rock the boat of this community that just let me in” attitude. But it does not feel right.

Personally as a ‘no drama ‘ kind of person myself

Not pressing charges makes sense. Why add another headache for 15k ?

If it was a lot more, at their level of $$$ then yeah.

She’s the most generous person in the world apparently. First gives back 130k then lets 15k slide.

longest-tenured employee of the show just happens to take roughly a 10% cut off ONLY Robbi's stack (you know, the one accused of cheating, who would likely need an employee with access on the inside to accomplish what she did by calling with J-high there) and everyone is just putting on their rose-colored glasses like it's a nothing-burger, good grief you people are hopeless.

Polk was right when he said people are stupid.

I think in the coming days there will evidence of her:

- kicking a dog
- crop dusting Andy on one of the occasions she left the table and blamed it on Mike X
- going to the bathroom and not washing her hands
- only tipping 5% at a restaurant

All further damning proof that she cheated Garrett and deserves to be burned like a witch.

That statement/post from the staffer sure is… uhm… interesting.

I find it just a little weird all the people who are choosing to stick themselves into the situation. First Rip’s blow up, now this noname audio-visual guy who just has to tell everyone his side of the story. Wtf?

It’s like the jagoff suspects on Forensic Files who can’t help but call the cops and ask how their investigation is going. Holy hell.

“I’m all good man!! How are you guys??? Got any new info?? And Can I help in any waaaay!?!” loolz
