Chip count is pretty damn close. Just a rack of 5s still missing. OP wishing he didnt make this thread now...
Not at all, my man. I want to do the CORRECTLY. I am sick to my stomach about the whole situation and tired of trying to sort through PM's about all of this.

I'm confused. Did Davin pay for these chips and never receive them?
And if he was not charged, did the seller file a claim to be reimbursed? Who is out what?

May I ask one question? Nobody has to answer, but if I get a real number then I could propose a solution that might provide some restitution and have a chance to show the good spirit of the community in supporting each other as well.

@davin, how much are you out in actual out of pocket costs for the missing box of chips? Please do not quote a "market" price.

Dude look at this I just went back to my photos from back in February when I asked my friend to send me a photo of the chips before shipped..... look very closely at the green sharpy writting there is a distinct 5 that you cannot remake

Now look at the picture that @luv2breformed sent me and posted in PM

If I’m to make a blunt judgement....I find it hypocritical to have John Owen as a profile picture with a user name luv2breformed and yet try to defend what is clearly stolen chips.

Even if I wasn’t a pastor, as just a member of this forum, I would have the integrity to return an item I knew belonged to someone else.

In fact I have done that before. https://www.pokerchipforum.com/thre...ry-actually-less-than-tiny.18933/#post-342657

Accept the fact that you did get a good deal but the chips are stolen. Now that you’ve found the rightful owner, return them and have him pay postage and the $50 you’re out.

It's obvious they are the chips, but I would argue that it's not the new owners issue to turn them in. He should provide the information to Devin to push the issue with, but the buyer isn't the bad guy here. He's kinda caught in the middle. Pushing that he has a stolen product isn't going to do anything but push him away and not fix the situation.

I would throw out there, split the chips. Then Devin is "Fuller" then he was, and the buyer gets a great deal still. But if everyone gangs up about him owning stolen chips, I wouldn't blame him for erasing his account and saying screw it. It's drama that he didn't start, it just found him.... And his honesty did nothing but screw him over now.

Just my opinion tho...
I agree with the above.

Everything points to them being the chips. That said, a decent reward for their safe return wouldn't be unreasonable. Having no idea what the original purchase price for the chips was it is hard to know what a fair reward would be.

Tough for everyone. Hate the original thieves.

One of the posts here portrays me as having "liked" that posting. I cannot remember that happening, and I 'm not drunk at all lately.
I do not like any of the posts here, and the forum software won't allow me to dislike, despite my efforts.
Other than that, I have to say that the Law has to be enforced on one hand, and bona-fide (innocent, good-will) members, especially new ones, have to be protected on the other./

Appreciate that feedback, man. I really do. It's why I made this whole thread. I want to do the right thing. Davin and I couldn't seem to figure it out on our own, so I posted to the community for help. I'm not 100% convinced they're his, and even if they are, I'm not sure what to do. If I just wanted chips I would've run already.

The evidence he just posted about the green 5 is concrete and rock solid. They are his. Have him work a way to compensate you but at least you’ll know you have a clear conscious.

Do the right thing and I’ll send you a free rack of chips that I don’t use

Yeah it’s pretty clear cut with that photo.

Maybe davin will agree to you keeping a rack or something

I read through the whole OP but only glanced over the replies so far.

To me it looks like there is a good chance those are actually the stolen/missing/whatever chips. But that doesn't imply he has to give them back just yet imo. There is still reason for doubt, and a proper investigation has to be made. Contact the police and let them investigate it. They might have ways to get hold of the eBay seller for questioning to find out where they got them from.

Keep the chips until investigation is completed. If the investigation can show that the chips are actually the ones Davin is missing, the eBay sale should be reversed (Luv2 gets his $50 back from the seller), and the chips awarded to Davin.

I'm not looking for money or chips or anything guys, I will do the right thing regardless, please don't worry about that.
