Thanks for the upgrade !
Just testing the 4.0c (added my players + messages + update lists).

Testing on 2 players but script fails on the first sending. I looked but cannot find the root cause.

OK, I see what's going on. There's an issue with the date handling. It's a little complicated but I will get do the bottom of it in the next day or two.

OK, I think I fixed it. Can you give it a try in your own copy? No need to re-setup. Just do steps 15-18 in the ReadMe for good measure.

1 - Sending mail => SMS : Workls OK now.
2 - On the phone, after setting the new status (In) the page is refreshed but the list of people is not reflecting the "new" status. Still "yet to respond"
2bis - When i go to the phone page on an other people account, list is not updated. In fact status was not updated.
3 - On the SMS (sent thru a mail) we again have this "<" caracter at the begining. I think i rember you took care of this in previous version (?)

Strange thing is : No color syntax on the code for function ReplaceTokens. Only function as this.
But I cannot see any syntax problem.

That’s because it’s commented out. I keep some code around for a few revs in case I need to refer to it

On the settings tab, try unchecking Make Nice Links in Emails for your specific use case.

I'm unable to reproduce this - even when using your copy. Can you PM me one of the links that are not working?

I did however notice a couple of unrelated formatting issues on the bottom of that page. I'll be working on that.

The new "no nicez link" SMS has a correct URL where it works fine.

It was the "make nice URL" who had the problem => Submit Your Status <https://smss.me/14h21

I send 88 emails per month, and I find that I can get 29-31 emails out in that 6 min window. With only an A/B/C list, I can only add 2 more players before I have to start sending 1-off emails

I'm working on some optimizations to the send message feature. I'm currently clocking in at about 3.5 seconds per message. That would theoretically allow you to send about 170 messages in one shot. Let me test it out on my next game and I'll publish it after that if all goes well.

yes. I send 17/18 messages before the error. I have 3 lists A/B/C ATM.

I replaced the URL from your exemple with My script URL.

On the iPhone, I can choose the message template, and verify that informations are correct..
But when I send it I get this error message : " De non valide. La valeur fournie pour De dans Envoyer un e-mail n'était pas valide".

Seems the "from" value is the problem.
I really am a noob in shortcuts so i can't help debbuging right now.

That’s an issue @djfayze helped me identify just a couple days ago.

Excerpt from my response:
I'm not yet sure of the most elegant way to fix this yet, but if you're comfortable editing Siri Shortcuts I can talk you through it.

Edit the shortcut and scroll about halfway down until you see this action. From here you should be able to edit the From field to make it your gmail address.

Try downloading the shortcut again from the resource page. It should now prompt you to setup the web url and your From email.

I think you will like the shortcut. It has no limitations on how many emails you can send and the SMS texts can come from you rather than a gateway.

Though in your case if you want to use the text feature you’ll have to rework your guest list to have phone numbers in the cell phone fields.

@Al Azouri I am thinking of trying this but it sounds like there is a lot of bugs or complications (on the latest version) to get it started or work. Should I use the 3.7 version instead?

I don’t want to jynks myself but I think we are near the end on that. 4.x was a major rewrite and in my biased opinion worth upgrading to.

The only update I have currently planned is a performance improvement for people who need to send more than 30 messages at a time and are not on iOS.

That being said, I have not updated the documentation for it. (Nor do I have the determination to do so in the near future).

All of the old features are the same and the new features should not be too hard to figure out.

Nothing wrong with going to 3.7 at this time. It’s pretty solid and a lot of people on this forum are using it.

Word of caution: you need to be fairly comfortable in Google Sheets.

Are you saying if I am a noob to G Sheets, this app will be too hard to use? Or I should learn GSheets because the app is worth it? Thx.

lol. Just that the learning curve will be steeper. If you’re comfortable with excel it should help too.

Just don’t expect a nicely polished mobile app like you would get from the App Store. That’s not what this is.

Though if someone out there wanted to take this concept and write it into an app I would be 100% behind it.
