Someone has probably asked this before but approximately how long does it take to receive chips you order from these sales? I ordered some used $5s and new $25s. First time joining in for one of these...

You should get a shipping notification in a few days and then it is just depending on how fast USPS ships it.

I think Jim usually gets them out pretty quick but with the PayPal snafu things were delayed. Imagine he will get most of the orders out pretty quickly. You will get a shipping notice

Whenever a casino that can sell closes or rebrands. Can’t really tell when they are coming

The casino, closed since last March because of the pandemic, will eventually reopen under new ownership. It was purchased from Boyd Gaming in December by DeSimone Gaming, which also owns Railroad Pass in Henderson.

these are all the ones on chipguide that were put into circulation in the 90s. not sure if they had newer ones and/or if these were put out of commission before closing (and if they were in fact from the 90's im sure the condition is crap).

I received my chips today. Shipping notification early Monday morning, USPS in possession on Tuesday, arrived today. Thanks @TheChipRoom!

Not sure about that. I imagine it’s in their gaming laws, but not sure if someone has compiled a resource. Others here probably know the answer to that question

Yah we need to go occupy the casino before they close and let us buy out the 25c chips
I actually have wondered why, in a case where chips are becoming obsolete either because of a rebranding or closing in NV that the casino would not encourage chippers to harvest chips at that time if they just have to destroy them later.

2nd hour was no limits I thought
Read carefully. 4 x 1st hour orders and 1 second hour order were placed. It is the 4 first hour orders that violate the rules. However, he just notes that, because of how he tried to combine shipping, the cheat also got his second hour order shipped. He has stated earlier that those orders shipped first day included second hour orders that included chips that, but for the glitch, would have been sold out. So the cheat probably got snappers or new 2s as part of his second hour order also that he shouldn't have. He only got them because jim was trying to combine everyone's shipping and did so here, shipping the cheat's second hour order before discovering the glitch.

Seeing people offer $800 per rack for the snappers post sale let's you realize how abusive to the community (and jim) these cheaters' conduct was. I agree jim should out them to the community, or at least Tommy to ban them from the forum.

I Nevada - Las Vegas & elsewhere - as previously noted chips get destroyed, but right before the last date of redemption there is nothing to stop chippers from purchasing as many chips at face as they wish. $1's and smaller get bought up like crazy.

No need for the casinos to do anything to encourage this, it just happens because enough people know that they will be able to sell the chips for more than face later.

How many casinos anymore have chips at less than a dollar? I'm just wondering....

Not too many.

Our card room just within the last yr took the 50c pieces out. They may have as well have been obsolete anyway as there was only 1 really small game that used them and that game only happened very infrequently.

Most all of them were total junk anyway & even if you were willing to take the junky ones it would have taken you two lifetimes to harvest any sort of playable # of them.

In my opinion, if you want a fractional, your best bet is either the custom or murder routes

during my last Vegas trip (back in 2017) I took only 2 fracs: 25 cents from Jokers Wild in Henderson and 50 cents from Longhorn in Boulder Strip.
All others casino used 25 and 50 cents coins in blackjack and punto-banco tables.
