Noooooo, not Poker!

You will get the following score if you can do the following:

+5 points if you can guess the condition of the chips

+10 points if you can guess the manufacturer of the chips in the photo.

+25 points if you can guess the set that these chips come from.

+50 points if you can guess the source from where the chips were obtained.

I hope this provides a challenge!!

Maximum Score: 90 points (I know this is going to tilt some of you!)

Hahahaha good luck!

No idea what that box is but those look more like bccs to me. Some kind of fun nite t5 maybe? Mint surely.

I have a box like that. It came full of chips from Spinetti's. And since thats where most chips come from, that's my guess.

And yes I realize I highlighted a BCC chip with a drop of blue clay that happened on that chip.

Good ole error prone BCC!

While we're on the subject, what manufacturer used those boxes? They put all other boxes to shame.

I was shocked to see my chips arrive in those sweet green boxes. Exactly 4 rows of 25 chips each. They seem super old.

Scoreboard:
=========
1. @upNdown 50 points (Spinetti's)
2. @BGinGA 25 points (Fan of Cards)
3. @Perthmike, 15 points (mint, BCC's)
To be fair, I knew 90 points worth of answers the moment I saw the pics (not counting the 10-point bonus for also knowing the chip denomination). No way I know they are Fan of Cards without also knowing they are mint BCC chips - the machine marks give it away.

I love this forum.

Hey, the signature line says chipes xbert, chipoholic, plaque-o-phile, card connoisseur, and blind structure freak ..... but nothing about boxes. :) Although @justsomedude put together an awesome group buy for the best available chips boxes on the market imo.

I don't think they are BCC boxes, and I'm not sure where Spinetti's obtained them. Might be old stock from RT Plastics. Could probably call Mikko and ask.

Once I showed the box it was all over ... these guys are super sharp.

Got an answer on those boxes. Fascinating little tidbit of chipping history:

The boxes actually did not come from a chip manufacturer. They were ordered by Lincoln Fitzgeralds for his casinos Nevada Club and Lodge in Reno and Lake Tahoe. Back in those days, the casino in Tahoe would close for winter and they would use these boxes to store and transport the chips to Reno for the winter. So I'm sure between transporting and storage the TR king boxes did not last and he had to order these heavy duty boxes. Unfortunately, I do not know who made them though.

Sincerely, Mikko

Looks like there might have been multiple runs of these boxes? The green ones pictured above appear to have a cardboard inner tray.
The blue one I have has an inner tray made of thin plastic.
