Not really, but lived in Chicago for a number of years. Have been enjoying the series, and feel guilty rooting for the Lightning. ;)

I can't believe we manged to come away with a win tonight. Hawks looked tired. Crawford definitely came up huge tonight. Back to Tampa Bay!!!

Great series so far, and shaping up to be epic. I have torn allegiances, so just enjoying the exciting and entertaining hockey no matter who wins.

Go Wings.

Just checking in...good day....I sat at a bar on the beach on Maui watching the game today. Real nail biter at the end.

Go Chicago!

Another exciting game last night - great hockey. I expected the Hawks to push back pretty hard, but this was still a game the Lightning could have won. Back to Tampa tied 2-2.

You should be rooting for the Lightning since Yzerman is our GM.

Yeah, but I was an Indianapolis Ice season ticket holder (parent team Blackhawks) back in the day, plus Chicago was right up the road for all things major league sports....

However, from an early age I was a big Red Wing fan (many years before I moved to Detroit). Upon moving to Atlanta, I also had Atlanta Knights season tickets (parent team Lightning) until they moved away. Still miss that team.

So, very mixed loyalties.... don't really strongly lean either way, but do enjoy top caliber hockey. Neither team has disappointed so far. Hope to see seven games, decided in the final 30 seconds of the 3rd period. Or maybe a Game 7 overtime....

And yes, I saw Gretzky and Messier play for the Indianapolis Racers...... The Great One was incredible, even as a 17-year-old kid.

From a purely gambling perspective...... PHEW on Chicago in that game.... If I didn't have a bunch of beers in me, I would have had... to... put several beers in me. The most I've ever had riding on one game. Did not see this series going to 7 but clearly we are in for the long haul!!

Understandable - I obviously favor the Lightning, but I like any good competitive hockey. I am currently satisfied, win or lose, that my team will be a playoff caliber team for years to come.

I used to go see the Atlanta Flames play in the Omni when I lived in Atlanta in the Early 70's. Never have gone to minor league hockey but I would like to.

Nothing like blue line seats on the glass..... for $20. :) Little more expensive now, but nowhere near the stratospheric prices that NHL games command these days. Former employer was a Thrashers sponsor, and we occasionally got to use the corporate suite.... that's no way to watch a hockey game, imo. If you can't feel the checks (and watch your newbie neighbor's beer go flying off the shelf into their lap), you ain't doin' it right.

I've been lucky enough to have been involved with four different championship seasons in four different leagues with four different teams in two different cities (also had Gladiator tickets until I moved to the opposite suburban corner of Atlanta -- not gonna drive an hour plus one-way). In many ways, the top-level farm teams provide a better show than most NHL action provides.

We were supposed to get an ECHL franchise here in Bradenton several years ago. They were building the arena within 5 miles of my house and I had great seats reserved. Unfortunately, the deal fell through and they tore down the partially built arena. I currently drive 55 miles one way to see the Lightning. My seats are on the 3rd row, so you can definitely feel the action.

I prefer to be above the glass. I like hearing the puck on the stick and the chatter as well as being able to see the plays develop. I've sat first few rows at a Buffalo game behind the goal towards the end of the game we moved up a few rows and I found the experience to be much better. I've also played my whole life so maybe that's a difference.

Not sure if you remember back in the day when they use to cut the light over the stands so that only the ice was lit up. Maybe it's just how I remember it being a little kid watching the Amerks in the 80's.

WTF was that? Need to pull Bishop, head not in game....
