List your playable sets (3 Viewers)

http://www.jeffchurch.com/chip-sets.html

Here's the link to the list and pictures past and present. I miss the PNY, PCA and Highway 9s most.

Numbers have gone up a little for the current sets from what's on the web, and I've reduced the number of sets while collecting more chips in each sets.

ASM/CPC - Everleigh Club (4200) cash
ASM/CPC - Kings Club (2200) tourney
Paulson - Viva Las Vegas (3000) cash
ASM Roman Molds - Four Kings Club (1000) tourney
"Lazered" Faux clays - Barrington Broncos(4000) cash and tourney

14600 chips 5 sets.

Pic added.

Yay! Remember way back when we used to debate over splitting up a few hundred "Poker Club LLC" Chipcos, to actually play with? Where did we go wrong?
I could start a new thread on that one?
My fingers might get sore typing though:)

I have the following:

1000 ASM Avanti customs (cash set)
1400 CPC Atlantic Club Hotstamped set (Tournament set)
1400 Bwalk Hybrids (Cash)
1000 Paulson Oak Trees (Cash)

1 empty drawer in the chip cabinet .... .

Someday, I'll bring out all the sets for a grand photo-shoot. The Zombies, the limit set, the cash game chips scheduled for relabeling, the Milanos, even the mini-chips. Everything except the dice chips, because... "playable". Until then, enjoy a few shots of the custom Zombie chip collection.

Also, I need much better lighting for a project like this.

ASM/CPC - Everleigh Club (4200) cash
....
Paulson - Viva Las Vegas (3000) cash

I especially like these two sets because -- to me -- their workhorse $1 chips are the stars -- they're what most of us have for our $100s, which we seldom, if ever, get into play.

The Everleigh $1s are to me a strong contender for best $1 chip ever...

I have trimmed down so much over the last 2 years that I am pushing the definition of 'playable'.
But I still have some nice chips and a nice variety.

TRK : Casbah Club (fantasy) : small Cash set
Paulsons : 'Fish&Donkey' (Labeled Terribles) : Cash set
ASMs : Palmas Club P.R. : Tournament set
BCC : Proteges Non-Denoms : Cash/Tournament
Bud Jones : Condado Plaza CIC's : Tournament set
Chipcos : Hard Rocks (Seminole & Albuquerque) : cash set

Under 3000 chips total :(

Casbah Club and Palmas, not sets that are that common these days in classifieds etc. Love them.

My contribution:
  • Paulson Sahara NCV hotstamp Tournament - 700
  • Boardwalk Hybrid Tournament - 600
  • CPC Atlantic Club A mold hotstamp Tournament - 800
  • ASM Horsehead Solids cash set - Beechgrove Card Club - 1500
  • Horseshoe Cleveland limit set - 1000
The 'sets I had' list is probably far more impressive.

All of these gorgeous sets make my 1000 Starbursts feel very inadequate.
I guess one can dream though.

Could be worse. I have a 1300 chip slugged Wallson clone set (see my avatar), which are decent enough for slugged plastic chips (my heathen friends are in awe of them) and a 900 dice chip set (I use them for roulette, as loaners, or in any situation where I expect chips to be lost). I missed out on a chance at Paulson Noirs when I excitedly mentioned here that I was going to pick them up and they were mysteriously bought out from under me (lesson learned).

Etched. Palm Gaming Imports does them for a (IMO) reasonable price.

Since I already have the carriers here, I can't use PGI unfortunately.

Do you happen to know (roughly) how they do it? Like, do they need to take the thing apart to get those two acrylic panels etched, or can companies that have such a laser etching system just do it on the assembled thing?

Just want to roughly know what lies ahead before I contact a local laser etching company for this. Price does look reasonable.

As far as I know, there is no realistic way to separate the individual panels. They are bonded to the corner pieces. I do not know if the etching is done by PGI's supplier pre-manufacturing or if they do it in-house / post-manufacture.

The BCC High Roller set I had was such a great looking set. The fatal flaw with that set was there weren't that many made and that it was made in both the casino weight and light weight versions of BCC that had slightly different diameters. It drove me crazy to play with them. The tiny difference in circumference ruined the feel of the chips.

I can relate as most to that statement. Honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. It allows me to play with a ton of different sets for a reasonable "renting" price.

Great collection sir.

I wish I was able to do that, but once I get them I, I, .... just, can't... let go....
