Its possible but I need to keep my # of PayPal transactions in check so snail mail checks, Zelle, and GPay would be the only available payment methods for US members and PayPal for non-US members only.

What do you got? We should avoid the same layout as the tourney chips though. There are couple of layouts that the HS cash chips use that would work.

The bumble bee T1K is probably my favorite. I've been mocking up a Broken Bell tourney set with that mold too.

Not intentional but it appears that's the only way this mold comes.
 
I was just thinking that a poll should be put up for the colors of the $1s and $5s to get an idea of which direction to go with the other denoms.

Ex:

White $1s and Red $5s (Standard A)
Blue $1s and Red $5s (Standard B)
Blue $1s and Yellow $5s (Cali)

If you want to stick with an old school Vegas/Reno mining theme I’ve been thinking of this...

I really don't care about the theme to much. a yellow one is preferred.
 
And just recently I found out that Matsui has another color kit with some much brighter colors. Its not their standard color kit so its not something they make available to the masses. There are some limitations on which molds can use these colors for bases and for spots. Also, when using these colors as a base, it lowers the chip weight by about 2 grams.

Example of #20 Day Glo Orange from the bright color kit and #20 Day Glo Orange from the standard color kit. Let me tell ya, its much more vibrant in person.

Black or Grey 25c, Yellow $1, Orange $5, Turquoise $25, White $100

If it's good enough for TRKs (Mapes/Money Tree/Riverside), it's good enough for me. :)

Also, very little color duplication of the tourney set. :tup:
 
Assuming two-color chips:

gray w/cherry red
yellow w/med. blue
orange w/black
turquoise w/pink
white w/green

The brighter the better.
 
I like where this thread is going :tup: I fully approve of a gray quarter, orange fiver and turquoise 25. White hundo also sounds nice.

OK, I've come back to earth, and have decided what I'm going to keep as my set, and am going to sell the "extras". I picked up the 600 chip set of "extras" that was abandoned after we placed the order with matsui, mainly so I could have the flexibility to tweak my keeper set breakdown once they got here.

I'm just letting the people this thread know what I have, before I post an official FOR SALE ad, which I'll do later this afternoon if nobody claims them here.
I just wanted to give people here the opportunity to get them before opening it up more broadly.

200 x T5
180 x T25
100 x T100 (dibs @suited67 if split)
140 x T500 (dibs @suited67 if split)
135 x T1k (dibs @suited67 if split)
155 x T5k (dibs for 25 @suited67 if split)
20 x T25k v1
75 x T25k v2 (These are only included in the set if @detroitdad doesn't want them -- I've already promised them to him)

I'd prefer to sell to one person, but I understand that this is a pretty big set with a strange breakdown -- you could try to trade extras for what you want?
Price is $1.50/chip plus shipping. Does NOT include racks. If one person buys them all, I will include the racks too, and pay for the shipping.

You can split them up, I'd be interested in most of them, but wouldnt need the 5s or the 25ks... So if it's all or nothing, I'll have to pass... Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully there will be another group buy someday I can buy from.
 
I'll all for non standard colors like @BGinGA mentioned above. We have created so many standard and cali standard sets over how many years. How about a different color route. Pick a pretty color, make it your dollar, make the frac and the 5 work with that color. As long as they are denominated, it works.

I'd be interested in the t25ks v1 and some of the t5s (maybe around 60 of them?).
