My Journey As A Professional Poker Player (19 Viewers)

was in for $2200. Managed to only lose $1,600 on the session, whomp whomp

Back at it later tonight, for now need some sleep

Had a great nights sleep, woke up at my 1am alarm and headed in to the casino. Got a seat in the 2/5/10 PLO pretty quickly. They had two tables going, both in the high-limit private room which was nice.

What wasn't nice is both games sucked. The other table wound up breaking, and my table was tight as hell, no action. Dropped $300 in that game before I got called for the 1/2 PLO. When I had arrived it was two games running, but when I got a seat there was only one table left. Again, very little action, if you weren't coolering someone you weren't getting paid. But at least I wasn't paying $7 every 30 minutes to be in the game, so there was that.

I managed to win back $250 in that game so took a loss of 50 bucks on the day, which was much better than yesterday. Not sure if it's because it's Labor Day Weekend and folks are out doing other stuff, but the games for a Friday and Saturday were extremely tight a good chunk of the time. The Friday night into Saturday morning 2/5/10 PLO was a good game, I just ran like shit and couldn't capitalize on it unfortunately.

Monday should be another good one at Luckys, so looking forward to that. One of my buddies from that game is getting me into a private game this Thursday which I'm excited to play. And another buddy mentioned that Oxford Downs has a really great 5/5 Big O game running Fridays from 1pm until 8am Saturday morning, they had two games running and it was a ton of action last week. Used to be private but now it's open games, so considering checking it out next week as well.

Aside from that, been battling some Sciatica pain on my right side. Moving seems to help alleviate it so trying to get more stretching in, breaks from the table and so forth.

Still making my way through this. Check out MJ at the 1 hr 23 minute mark and what he shoves the flop with

Dude had a 95% VPIP the previous stream, straight up donator. Every game needs one of these guys

I love the commentary: “you’re not going to find a book that say Everett should call there, but there’s lots of different styles. Everett just might be a great post-flop player.” :ROFLMAO:  :ROFLMAO:  :ROFLMAO:  :ROFLMAO:

Always good to get the early suckout.

That car is a cop magnet though. It looks like it's speeding, even when standing still.

What's funny is after giving me the verbal the officer said "can I ask you a question? Why do you have a firebird logo on a Nissan?"

And I said "because I thought it looks cool"

Good answer. I would have said "It makes it go faster," and then he would have gone back and issued the ticket.

Limp for 10 in a straddled pot in CO. Cuban in seat 1 makes it 75, couple callers, I repot to 680, holding KK54 one suit

He calls off most of his stack with Q932 has maybe 130 behind. Other guy with AJ43 gets it in for less

I can't play much better than this. He flops the Q, turns another one and I river a useless third 5

Just curious, Anthony: how do you repot to $680 there? Wouldn’t you need about 6 callers of $75 plus yourself to get the pot that high.

Nah, my buddy Will sitting next to him
The cubans are on forodefichasdepóquer.com right now posting about the Anthony/Will Gringo sandwich they have to sit between at the casino all the time.

They're saying that you get it in good all the time against them and must be cheating, but they're still doing pretty good this month. They've also messaged their buddy the room manager about you and the suspected cheating.

edit - I need to get my ass back to work. I know some folks roll their eyes at this, but one of the more enjoyable threads for me as a gambler who will never have the time in the foreseeable future to take poker for real. Thanks for keeping this together and updating it and all that jazz.

I find myself strangely addicted to this thread as well. So many train wrecks...

Cuban in seat 1 does it again. Calls two all-ins preflop for like 1500 with 8665

He's against KKT9 one suit, didn't see the oyher hand but think it was AAxx

He flops set of 6's, turns the flush AND rivers the straight

They've ran somewhat good lately. Would you say they're down big since you started playing regularly with them, or is this some kind of bizarre normal for them?

It is unreal how good these fish are running

They've been running like god for a month, but overall are losing players

Seat 6 is semi-competent. Seat 1 is an absolute drooler

The comeback is excellent. Good to know you are continuing to play well, and not tilting.

I can only surmise that your inability to go on tile relates to having a rock to steady you - a quick go-to of reassurance, and a place to tell the story. Basically an on-demand psychologist, or team of psychologists... PCF.

We are all happy to know that we have been able to help, over the lase 23 pages in this thread, and your profit has been staggering.

Our bill will be in the mail shortly. :cautious:

Lol, I actually did get pretty pissed to lose to that shit, especially since my last few sessions have seen the cubans put it in bad countless times and find miracles

Still, I know it's a long-term game and stayed focused. Managed to turn a -$900 session into a +$450 one
