My Journey As A Professional Poker Player (19 Viewers)

Were they regulars to that room or others you go to? Did you inform the floorperson of your suspicions?

This is interesting. Can you stop them from doing so? Obviously unethical and horrible, I’m questioning how easy it is to prove and can they be punished for something that’s gonna be hard to prove.

Two are regulars, the two colluding cubans. In this particular hand there was a third guy (not sure if he's cuban but he is hispanic) that was the one constantly straddling preflop to 10 and then popping it to 50 everytime people called.

But when the first cuban in seat 1 traps everyone in between who is calling this guys constant raises and repops it over $250 with T862 it just raises a lot of red flags, especially when those two will go twice with one another but once with everyone else.

I'm friends with the manager on Facebook so messaged him when I got home. I can handle the two colluding cubans cause they suck so bad, but you bring a third player into that mix and it makes things a lot harder.

The third guy I've played with before, and he's definitely a gambler, but in the past he always went twice. The cubans within the past month started only going once with select people at the table (myself included) and then this third player shows up and suddenly he is only running once with me as well, so it seemed like they had talked prior to the game because it makes no sense for him to make that switch when I haven't played with him since prior to Covid and always went twice prior to that.

So August is officially in the books. We didn't break into 5-figures like December, but it is my #2 month of all time for profit hitting the high 4-figures

Very pleased with these results. Off until later in the week, will be working on my 2nd video for USAnumberWON in my off-time

I don’t think running it once/twice is considered collusion. Running it twice simply reduces variance. It is not strategic. Flip flopping during the night doesn’t give anyone an edge in any particular hand. Generally when some people run it once at the table And others run it twice (or people flip flop), I declare that I am once with everyone all night. Issue resolved.

I'm just saying that the combination of a guy I haven't seen in months suddenly going once with everyone EXCEPT the two colluding cubans, them trapping people in between and raising them out with garbage hands, AND both cubans buying in deeper than they usually do, for me, raised some red flags

Then again, if you know for a fact that the Cubans and a third party are colluding, that's very easily exploitable in the right scenarios.

Generally against the two cubans it's not an issue. But a third player in the mix just makes it really difficult

I mean, yeah I can get it in for $800-$1,000 but I'm probably up against two hands at least. My hand selection will be better than theirs, but it's still two hand combos against my one

100% collusion.

Trap a bunch of people, force out the dead money, run it twice to hopefully split up the money without having to do it out in the parking lot after.

Update: to be clear, running it twice is not collusion. It's the getting heads up between the colluders with dead money in the pot and running it twice so hopefully the pot is split and the two colluders get their money back and split up the dead money. In Omaha the edges between hands run much closer than holdem so it is far more likely that the pot will be split. Therefore is it far more advantageous to cheat like this in an Omaha game.

Still making my way through this. Check out MJ at the 1 hr 23 minute mark and what he shoves the flop with

Dude had a 95% VPIP the previous stream, straight up donator. Every game needs one of these guys

When they make the trip for the games down there, I see @Anthony Martino & @Rhodeman77 driving to Texas like this:

I feel dumber by association for watching that. I saw the previous hand where MJ shoved with overpair and got snap called by top and bottom so they obv know how bad he plays.

I'm not that good at PLO, but if people are just jamming with TP + .... ummmm.... Nothing? It was nothing right? Then I think I can beat this game.

Pre-covid there was a woman who owns a medical device company that could drop 20k in a night in the games

I got involved in a hand with her where I flopped something wrappy (think the board was 238 and I had 4566 or something) and she spazzed off her stack with 99xx. She was flabbergasted when her overpair didn't hold up

I watched her in the 2/5/10 game where max buyin is 2k, donk off her 7k stack into the only guy at the table that had her covered

She flopped bottom set and a gutshot, on a two flush card board. He had top set, they went twice and she lost both

Some people really have zero clue and just think they are "unlucky"

I must admit, I am extremely unlucky. I have not played cards against this woman. :meh:

Unfortunately I haven't seen her since things reopened. She may get invited to private higher stakes games

I remember she came right from the Gasparilla celebration to play, and the next day when I came back she was still there in the same clothes.

Degens gonna degen

I've never played exactly what they are playing here. Why are they dealing a second turn and river card?

Got it in preflop against the same drooler. I had KKT7 one suited King

He had AJT6 one suit, another lady all-in for less with AQ96 one suit. So I'm 50% equity 3-ways

She makes 6's full of 9's for the main pot and he runner-runners a club flush for our side pot. Le sigh
