The $5's too. It upsets my OCDThe two different $25's at Lucky's drives me nuts. Please ask the cage for all matching $25's, or at least sort them in your stack.

The stakes at the meetups are low enough that it is more about socializing and having fun. Although the pressure to perform is high because everyone is like "oh, you're a pro? I ain't impressed!" Lol
Standard. I find I go out of my way to show cards, talk about hands, and explain to the regs this is not a “real game” - it helps.
When did kids shoes become so expensive... I mean, they use so much less material... Is it the tiny foot molds? Are they rare?I make sure to mention "my shoes cost more than your house!" so the scrub donkeys know who they're fucking with

Do you have this child's wingtip in a size 4 narrow? It's for my kid... I'll wait... *tapping tiny foot *I shop for my shoes at Baby Gap
Or at least sit to my right when you do go....If that tilts you, you may wish to avoid The Flamingo in Las Vegas:

But he had Aces! ACES! They're the nutzzzz!Holy shit the hand at the 2 hr 7 minute mark is just so gross

Standard Cuban play.
But he had Aces! ACES! They're the nutzzzz!
Probably thought he had a runner-runner nut flush draw (yes, I have met players who think it's possible)
When I saw the hands PF, that's what I was expecting to happen... the non-spade turn disappointed me.
Holy shit the hand at the 2 hr 7 minute mark is just so gross
This thought hit me too... When aces shoved in front of him, he snap-shoved for less. It was almost like he made up his mind he was shoving when it got back to him and he didn't consider the possibility that someone could outdraw him. I guess you need that kinda ambivalence toward variance to play Omaha for higher stakes.I mean he raised preflop to $35 so he was obv pot committed to play a $4k pot.
So maybe it's my tilt talking, maybe I'm just paranoid. But I'm going to start keeping track of who is dealing when these Cubans hit their miracles, which include but are not limited to:
Gets it in three-ways preflop with for $1500, goes once and wins
Gets it in with against on a flop of and magically turns the and fades the river flush and full house outs to chop
Gets it in preflop with for $1500 three-ways, flops set of 6's, turns flush and rivers straight to beat KKxx and AAxx
Raises OOP in a $10 straddled pot to $75 with and after two callers I limp-repot and he just calls leaving himself $130 behind, flops QJ3 against my KK54 and spikes the Q on the turn to win that one.
Called off half his stack preflop (a raise to $450 out of his $900) with against my and flops Q9x and turns the 9 after we get it in on the flop.
Calls off $1,200 as the FOURTH all-in player preflop with and goes twice (this was pre-Covid) and wins BOTH BOARDS up against AAxx, KKxx and AKQT suited.
I mean, it's just fucking uncanny some of the monster pots and absolute setups where their opponents are NEVER folding these guys put their chips into with absolutely nothing. And it's starting to make me wonder if there's more going on than meets the eye here. These two drive to Tampa from fucking Miami to play this game, which only adds further to the suspicion (it's a 4 hour drive)
So yeah, going to start keeping track of the big pots they win with garbage and who was dealing and the action, see if I can't find something nefarious going on.
If this were a self-dealt game or a home game with friendly dealers I might be more suspicious, but sounds like observation bias imo. I don't see any hand histories in that message from the times they've put in their stack and not won.
And just throwing it out there that there could be...other reasons...to drive from Miami to throw a lot of money around in a casino.
I wouldn't let it bother you too much. As long as you continue to get your money in good, the variance wave will come crashing down on them and you'll be taking money from them by the thousands. Let them drool, and when they suck out, smile, say "nice hand", and get them next time
A voice of REASON?!?! Begone with such nonsense sir, there are monsters under the bed and I intend to slay them!
I confess. I bribed four dealers and every other player at your table to get you nice and paranoid, just to get you some content. You’re welcome
